Quick question; how do you guys compare turbos? Lbs/min? Inducer/exducer specs? Both? One or the other?
I personally look at both, compare to a precision that I know, and then Google 4 banger dynos with it.
And does anybody *really* know how to read compressor maps? :tearsofjoy:

True, I was also looking at the 64.5mm. I think that'd be a better match, equivalent to a 6466 give or take. And if people run a 6266 or 6466 on a stock block, dammit I can do a similar sized turbo on my stock block too lol
It's just a difficult time right now because the K04 is on it's last leg, Christmas is coming, and it would have to be a quick sell and repurchase of the feed line and turbo itself. Maybe some magic will happen :praying: but I am interested as well, seeing as it is pretty default to go PTE, BNR...
Heavily considering a T3 S366sx-e .82 AR instead of my 5858, mainly because later down the line, a housing swap is all that would be needed once I build and go twin scroll. Im so tempted to try and sell my 5858..
Well, we were both kind of right. Gen2 just got announced, that was what I was thinking. Forgive me because I suck at images when using my phone, but here's the link for their announcement. 700hp rating on the Gen2 5862.
All I know is 80+ hp and probably about $800+ for the ball bearing only.

That's true, but as long as I have ~2500rpm of usable power, that's all I'll need for drag racing. Different strokes for different folks! I like that we have a bunch of different inputs for different scenarios though.
I agree completely. But, I believe we have two different goals. I'm going to stupid nuts power for the strip and roll racing. The EFR line, while admittedly ridiculous, doesn't really shine above the 7163 for top end power. I've seen many dyno graphs where just the next up at 8172 tapers hard...

I am SERIOUSLY thinking about switching to BW SXE when I go balls to the wall. It's just hard to compare through just lbs/min and specs. I did see the new gen2 gtx's, but PTE is also coming out with gen3 turbos now, interesting to see if anything not...
I really want to know if there's any real competition to the 6466 at the moment. I know some 67mm will make slightly better top end and the expense for spool, but it seems like if you want anywhere from 400 to 1000 you can just slap a 6466 on and call it quits. Any opinions on this?
