Glad I could help! It was a great time and you and your wife are great people! Hopefully next time I will drive my speed 6 down and we can take them out for a rip together and catch up more. Maybe you'll be the first car on my 2 post lift down here in my neck of the woods to get that trans case...
I ran 3" catless dp to regular steel 3" back to the rear axles. Then dual 2.5" out which gives it a bit more of a distinct sound I feel like! They have held up well but they are now much louder after about 8 years or so...
Slightly off topic but some will know I had a garage that a tree fell on. Garage is coming along nicely and went from a 26x26 to and 30x50 with a 12x50 lean-to off one side. Getting a car lift in it and it should be a super amazing upgrade from the previous garage! I'll post when it is fully...
Well I finally got some new stuff happening with the speed. Got a new headlight, temporarily fixed the grill that was broken, replaced my high pressure fuel rail, and got some new wheels. Wheels are extreme offset though but got a great deal on them!
Enkie RPF1's 17x9.5 +18 rocking some Ferelli...
Dang man you have put it some WORK. Its going to be killer and we will have to meet up sometime so I can see this thing in person. Great build and hopefully mine will be up to the fun soon as well again.
Welcome to the forum! I've got a fully built 06' speed 6 and been through a lot with it haha Do plugs have oil on the threads? Car could be running very lean or rich and the plugs are just a side-effect of the true issue.
I'm in the market for at the very least a passenger headlight for my speed 6 but is it hard to wire led regular 6 lights for a speed? I wouldn't mind doing led. I mainly am not the best at figuring out the wiring and all that. If I had a chart to show which headlight wires were for what maybe...
I found a sensor after hours and hours of searching and calling places over several days. It was on ebay and hopefully it fixes my issue as it gives the oem number for the sensor reference. Time will tell but here is the link!

I'll keep you guys updated on...
I sadly have a failed fuel rail sensor as well. I actually just found a sensor that was on ebay saying it is a replacement of my actual oem part number. I'm very skeptical so we will see. I am assuming the fuel safe permatex is a viable sealant to use?
So this is the correct pulley sizing but the timing tooth section that is pressed on is wrong? Nice... Looks like someone sold someone the wrong pulley here unfortunately... If a car hasn't been driven or started then a guy could theoretically take that pulley off and just retorque the new one...
Is this car a mazda 6 or a mazdaspeed 6? It appears your teeth are much larger than the ones on a mazdaspeed 6 crank pulley after looking at pictures from mine.
Well it's been a long time since I have updated and life has been a big factor of that. Needless to say I have made great progress!
Fixed the crank sensor connector with the oem style again. Then I got my pi working and with the help of fellow member help of @JohnnyTightlips I have began...
That's a good idea man thanks for telling me! I will probably try this before actually hunting down the oem style plug. Did you put some inside the connector and then just squish it on? Lol ( obviously not too much that it interferes with the prongs etc)
