Right!? Luckily I can sort of laugh at it because I dont have a clue how bad this is. I didnt have time to pop the battery and intake out but I can only gues the block breather line going is to the pcv plate from what I could see. Which leave's me with more wtf's.
Perhaps not that bad. The tech...
I remember reading on msf that the syncro's were or might've been weight matched. I think its more related to a short shift plate somehow.
I picked up a perm hex knob and its basically heavy af but my 2nd gear syncros were long shot before that. If anything, there seems to be less slippage...
I have no idea how I didnt notice this sooner. But take a look at these picture's. One is not like the other and one makes no effing sense. Like, what the fuck happened to my breather line! That shit doesnt just fall off.
Before reading too far, does the AcessPort display certain codes with a sub category? My ap will show some codes by itself and other seem to look like a sub cat. Similar to this:
PCM
-> p2402
whereas with other codes, its just:
p0302
The PCM -> p2402 is a current thing as well and the...
New short block with about 100km on it with both of Damonds side mounts, in a stunning black and gold finish no less and my teeth and ears are immediately thanking me. No more crazy vibe's already and I get to hear the motor. I had the JBR 70a for probably over a 100,000km and the general noise...
This is great info about different tuners from user's no less.
I went with Stratified because they're local and I did have plans to dyno tune my car just to save the back n forth maps but their dyno is fwd. I joked let's just trip the wheel speed sensors that shuts off the awd/abs/dsc...
I'd keep looking if its 06-09 myself without an inspection. But, maybe its wishful thinking but was the seller referring to the vvt? If you're close to the border, perhaps eye one up in Canada if the border reopens or is, our exchange is your advantage.
Being in Canada, I opted to get a new short block shipped up since my OE had low comp. I went this way for a few reasons. No one up here other than a few shops really know just what the fuck is going on. I had about 6-8 refurb'd engine emails ghosted because I asked simple questions like 'this...
Thats what grinding right ? I thought the plastic shift forks wearing out so easily was why the gear popped out.
Every once and a while I see cheaply priced brass shift forks sets for the ms6 but I check again and they're gone.
I also noticed rpm's drop faster as well. Perhaps I wont miss the old heavy feel as much as the car should be ready this week and I havent driven since Sept. New bottom end gets broken.. wait whoa.. what now lol.
5.7 is accurate with 94oct and decent tires at 40-42psi with the dsc off. Mine came with CAI so I could be biased on 5.7 and perhaps should say semi accurate.
Dont forget to adjust your clutch pedal. If it was anything like mine, it was hack-knee'd at best.
Thought I'd randomly and quickly review this piece. I ordered this flywheel with the Luk clutch kit from EdgeAuto. No complaints on shipping or Edge - the shop that did the job claimed I was missing a few of the bolts or small stuff but since I no longer deal with that shop, fuck 'em.
The only...
Allo forum, how goes?
DTB would be short for the Dave the Bartender. Least I was before the 2020 lockdown of soon to be legend.
As the title says, I'm in the Vancouver BC area and the MZR short block is being replaced with a new OE SB, head will be resurfaced along with a full race exhaust...
