Yeah, the car basically stays in closed loop -- looks like it switched to open loop at 4800rpm then afr went from .88 to .71 by 5800 rpm. Looks like STFT are adding a lot of fuel prior to open loop though its desired and actual afr are on target for the load.
I just did a 3rd gear pull. Same virtual dyno settings on my BNR S4 made 388hp and 252hp on my previous K04 car. This car is so weird that no matter how much throttle you use, it has same amount of pull. It feels like 170hp and it feels like it has really good low end / mid range torque --...
I can log with my HP tuner. Its possible that stock tune and stock power is just so far below what im used to... When you go quarter throttle you can hear and feel the torque from the turbo , its just if you floor it -- nothing changes and i thought airflow logged was very low even for a stock...
I just got a mazdaspeed 6 on trade and it idles / drives perfect. no misfire, no hesistation or stutter just is missing some power. I logged a 3rd gear WOT and it maxed out at 141g/sec. 27psi absolute, 13 degrees of timing advance. Except for a cobb intake this car is completely stock...
It still baffles me that you can reach 500whp on 93 octane and i cant reach 400 on E30 with a lot more timing headroom. Is there any reason to zero out VVT after spool up? ive seen it in a few logs but dont know what the purpose is.
I have been searching and trying to absorb all the shared knowledge, but i havent seen many people talk about this topic. I was following thread where someone made over 400whp on stock fuel pushing IDC to 120%. Looking at their logs, its only showing 11 or 12 degrees of timing advance, this...
Ive been assuming a vacuum leak. Was going to test it, but been busy. I checked over all the connections and clamps. Did a few more logs and it worked fine today.
I am up to 341g/sec at 20psi. I miss E85, i dont like 93 oct timing tables. Dont have my wmi kit hooked up yet.
I have spent a good 4-5 hours now googling map sensor issues and not seeing anything related to my issue.
November I blew up my winter beater playing with a corvette in 5th gear. Moved all my goodies to the other car. Parts list:
3" downpipe
3" jbr trupath intake
CPE TMIC
bosch 3bar 845...
I thought it was common knowledge our fuel systems when healthy were maxed at 380whp. I also assumed that was MS3 380whp and not AWHP. I am on a BNR S4, tuned 11.8 AFR for extra headroom. sometimes my IDC hits around 105% but as others have said its just going straight into the exhaust...
i have 171k miles. virtual dyno has me at 410hp with decent weather. I would not trust a local shop unless they specialize in MZR. If your compression is good across all the cylinders, i would go for it. I also have a set of forged pistons, rods, bearings ready for when it gives up.
with an intake and muffler delete I had my MS6 at 252hp on virtual dyno. I was running E30 with 16 degrees of timing advance at 6,000rpm. 11.7 afr, 19psi on a china billet k04
3" downpipe, hpfp, 3" intake, BNR S4 now im at 410hp 23psi
I bought an MS6 with 150k miles, on the test drive i heard a rattle like you described. I figured it was a loose heat shield or something. After getting it home and googling it i discovered there was so much slack in my chain that it was hitting the valve cover. With the car cool and off, you...
I fixed a huge intake leak, and an exhaust leak. turbo spools better now. Holds PSI to redline, hits my Load targets of 2.7. I just logged 410hp / 403 tq with SAE 86F 30.2 baro The road appeared flat, the car felt strong -- but not THIS strong. I tried 4 logs, 2 of them i am now hitting...
I have had 3 mildly tuned mazdaspeed 6s and i can say with authority they are pretty slow stock for the average driver. There is a combination of reasons, but i think the biggest issue is heatsoak and lack of top end zing. All of my speeds with an intake and a self tune topped out around...
I just swapped my stock BOV for a go fast bits unit. no other changes, logged 380hp on virtual dyno this morning, tip in throttle feels much cleaner, 358g/sec. my highest with stock bpv was 334g / sec i think. car feels really good now, ive achieved my goals. I did see a 112% IDC logged...
The setup i have now, made the K04 feel very responsive. I just wanted to make sure my spool up is optimized, perhaps when my XS manifold shows up that will help some?
Dang, i was fully prepared for wizards to come in here and be like "retard timing at load x and add fuel, then adjust VVT yell yaba dabba do!" its really not bad if i start at 3500, but i think i might of been happier with a BNR S3 and the weight of an extra $300 in my pocket :-)
I never...
I don't remember logging this, but i am looking at one right now where i started at 2400rpm. I see 1psi at 2634 2psi at 2700. looks like it gains 1psi every .2 seconds. until 3400rpm where it gains 3psi per .2 seconds. With that said, the car doesnt throw you back into the seat until after...
