They just send me the refurbished part. It seems that little sleeve on the spline was a separate piece. It is now is one solid piece with the CV joint housing.
Finally got a reply from DSS. They are replacing it, no question asked. Still curious to see where you guys are finding MS6 rear driver side for that cheap. I see the passenger side and the front going for much cheaper, but not the driver side.
I see what you are saying. But, when I called the dealer the stock rear driver side shaft was something like ~$500. So, I was recommended this which edge had for $399. Figure it was a no brainer, add that with 15% off.
Trying to find that out. Says limited warranty on the edge auto Web page.
Replaced because stock CV was in bad condition when I bought. Figure why not upgrade as they are cheaper the OEMs.
Ive only had them for appriximatly 6-8k miles, but keep in mind thats about 2.5 years as I only drive...
Has anyone snapped this driver shaft? My "mods" are ebay DP, HPFP internals and an COBB OTS map, so probably making just a bit over stock power. While semi lunching from a stop light (Was not paying attention and got a few horns blown behind me) The Axle snapped right before the inner CV...
