The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

In my case, the BOV sounded nasty asf if I WOT when I’m parked. Driving, my turbo would almost always snap to 15psi boost at WOT. But after shifting, it would almost sound like a machine gun, misfiring almost every combustion that happens until i let off my gas pedal for 5+ seconds. After that...

The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

This is all pertaining to my specific experience. Just for the record and for research purposes however… PROS OF BOV -Drastically faster spool times -Stututututu -Personally can’t say much else CONS OF BOV -Post-throttle release bogging down -Decreased fuel economy -Stalling at idle/rough idle...

The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

ALRIGHT, long time no post. I just fixed every single problem I have been having with my car. The culprit.? DA MF BOV THAT CAME WITH MY CAR. I was doing some research and, a BOV and BPV operate on different principles. One of them being, at idle, the BPV will use the recirculated air, in a...

The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

Welp here is a few pictures. We got a leaky rear main, carbon buildup at its’ most severe state, and the threaded portion of the filter adapter housing was snapped off at some point so i gotta swap that over. Crank play is within spec on this motor though so hopefully i can get her all cleaned...

Also I am hoping to get the Speed back to life ASAP. So hopefully within the next week or so I will have it running again. Will keep...

The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

Update: Sooo ya boi needs a new motor. Waiting on extended warranty to get back with me they already did the inspection. The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Been very busy with work and the Speed has not been happy. After the oil pan re-seal, the leak almost seemed to get worse. Now I have made mistakes but a simple silicone gasket isn’t something I could see myself messing up. Not only that but, after picking up...

    Help P2187 lean @ idle. 1st gen speed3.

Your fuel trim spiked way down when your throttle position went from 7-6-5. So that means your only running lean under a load. When you were at throttle position 5, your long term was balanced out with your short term. Try checking PCV valve and hose. Kind of a pain to get to but you can see it...

    P0300 driving me insane

Go check out my thread, I chased a P0300 just like you and since I’ve put my new flywheel and clutch on, no CEL. And I would clear my code and just like you, it would depend when it comes back on but usually first thing when your pulling out the driveway in the morning.

The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

Amazing, the oil pan can leak into the case. Didnt know that, cleaned the bell housing with brake cleaner until it was coming out clear. Hopefully after reseal there’s no issues. It can leak into the bellhousing at the spot where i have my finger, on either side.

The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

Can someone re-assure me and tell me that an oil pan leak can leak from that hole on the bellhousing.? Just did rear main when I did my trans.?

The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

My old trans, if they don’t call it back for core I’ll probably end up rebuilding it just to have or maybe if someone needs it..?

The car I wanted doesn't like me very much but that's okay

At work with no cars in my stalls right now, thought I would upload some more content on my car. Another long story is my rims. So i have these 18x8 Lightning series Konig wheels. Never did reverse mount tires before but found out the hard way by cracking one rim from using the tire machine’s...

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

Interesting, I was actually wondering what those were when I was considering buying a timing kit.. So once the bolt is torqued down with that friction washer, it's basically locked in place. But if the washer loses it's friction, it could slip and you would be out of time.?

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

Well pull that bolt and put like literally 2 drops of some locktite on the first few threads, and torque it, sounds like you got lucky on the engine side. What about all the oil and everything.? Didn't blow up your transfer case did you.? Also easy way to tell if your clutch is gone is pull the...

Ticking noise, wanted second opinion. Serpentine belt area

I have almost the similar noise and I know for a fact my idler pulley is bad because when I put my stethoscope to that top pulley next to the valve cover, that thing sounds like soundpaper being dragged on the highway at 60mph. Almost sounds like a bad clutch release bearing. But the tensioners...
