I'll check out the manifold tonight to see if I need a new one. I will hit you up if I do.
If the VTCS is broken, would it be easier to just delete it?
I got off the phone with him a little while ago. He's very unwilling to assist me with any of the issues stating "he doesn't push out projects that are not 100%" and claims it's because I hotrodded it out of the shop. Which is not the case. As bad as it sucks, if I can't convince him to do...
I connected the boost leak test to the intake side. I used the How To on MSF. I used an air compressor and was able to push in 15 lbs, according to a vacuum gauge. I have not done a leak down or compression test yet. That will be done this week. I am currently running a second revision map...
Well I ordered some new studs and locking nuts from Edge last night. I did install a new 3.5 inch intake recently, but the MAF has been calibrated and there are no leaks. Here is the last log I grabbed right after the issue started Friday morning. Unfortunately, it seems as if I will be...
Well the bpv wasn't the issue. Replaced the gasket today. Still not able to build boost. I can build boost around 6500 rpm. But anything before that, it doesn't move. I did a boost leak test and literally found no leaks. A significant amount of air was coming through my oil cap hole, though. Not...
I haven't taken my bpv off recently... That I can think of.. But if it has been off for some time now, it wouldn't make sense because I just started noticing a boost leak. It was mid drive yesterday, and I cant build boost for shit. But, just took the bpv off and it's definitely not there.
This car will be the death of me. It's becoming a trail of fail each day. I am positive I have a boost leak, and the only culprit I could notice was the attached picture. Is this what is causing a boost leak? I'm not sure if it's part of the OEM BPV for vta just in case it needs it or whatever...
I'm not very mechanically inclined and I managed to do both of the above-mentioned. Unless you just lack the space to do them... that's another story, I suppose.
I completely agree. Will any amount of tape assist in protecting it? Just in case? I have a 51R battery in the stock box right now... I'm thinking about removing the battery box this weekend and trimming the box back an inch or two and creating a new bracket to hold the ecu to the battery box.
No, I only have a RMM at the moment. I'm ordering a TMM next paycheck. That half inch doesn't seem to be a whole lot, but it's better than it sitting directly on it.
I'll get it checked out and post my findings. Maybe it just has a harsh bite that I'm not used to. Maybe it's not slipping as much uing disengagment like I am used to... I am not sure.
This is my second ACT... I don't recall the first one doing it. Is there a possibility they installed they disc uncentered? Or possibly didn't torque everything correctly? It somewhat feels like part of the clutch is more engaged at certain points. Like a wobbly feeling. I suppose I'll need to...
I'm good on the break in... I'm still doing minor pulls while the engine breaks in as well... But I dont think it's normal for it to shake the ever so living hell out of my car when I'm starting to go.
So, just got a new long block installed and also installed a new clutch at the same time. The 'reputable' mechanic that I used is starting to cause me to question his reputation. Maybe this is not an issue, but I feel like it is. When I am taking off in first or in reverse, the clutch disengages...
Money, mainly. Blew the K04 and the engine basically at the same time... so funds were tight. CS turbo was a nice swap without having to change anything out. I decided to go forged for the day that I do decide to upgrade to a 3076 or S4.
Oh, I am also getting tuned, so that is in the works...
Well, it wasn't the tune... It was seriously the smallest damn thing and I'm a little upset they didn't notice it. They forgot to attach a ground wire. It was laying next to the ground, and when the engine would crank, it would cause that wire to connect at times and it would fire up... Under...
