1st Teardown While I Build Up

Alright I think I'm finished all the way around. Now, it's gotta go to the machine shop for new guides and a valve job for these new supertech valves

1st Teardown While I Build Up

Starting to feel a lot better about the exhaust side now. I think I'm actually done removing material now. Think this should allow more total volume while keeping up velocity. Hopefully keeping ideal backpressure when I try running big boost!

1st Teardown While I Build Up

Got my new 6 puck ACT disk, and have been waiting on the Xtreme pressure plate to show up for a while now. Finally came in, and turns out I have the old style prolite flywheel, so it won't fit. Now I've gotta order a new flywheel to get the clutch back together... Good news is I've had some...

replacement of valve stem seals and springs

Are you upgrading to stiffer springs? If not I doubt there is a reason to change them. Leakdown test to determine if the seals would be necessary as well. Intake valve cleaning and injector cleaning make a massive difference. And if you fail the leak down test I would suggest cleaning the valves...

1st Teardown While I Build Up

Supertech valves arrived today! Went +1mm Exhaust in Iconel and std size intake black nitride. Didn't feel like the iconel was necessary on the intake side hopefully I'm right! Also pulled my clutch and got a Gen2 transmission with 100k miles. Should eliminate my 2nd gear pop-out and give me...

1st Teardown While I Build Up

Still not done with porting this head, but all the major material removal is complete. Pictures attached next to an oem head. Need to finish the center of the runners by hand and put a polish on everything so it's slippery smooth! Kelford 84lb springs and titanium retainers showed up today...

Only Starts After Unplugging Then Plugging In ECU

Yeah I actually replaced the full clutch line with a braided stainless line and bled it fully as well. I also do run DOT4 and try to exchange a chunk of it from the entire system every year. I'm wondering if I just didn't do a great job of bleeding the clutch line, or conversely I did a really...

Only Starts After Unplugging Then Plugging In ECU

So i got the car to start up and went for less than a 5 mile drive, used the brakes liberally and they felt good. I've been bleeding them with a hand pump and finally with the pedal for 2 days. They initially had a drop after and I threw a splash of fluid in. Mid drive the ABS light shut off...

Only Starts After Unplugging Then Plugging In ECU

The only light I'm getting is a solid ABS, my check engine flashes but nothing else I noticed. I connected FORSCAN and all the normal codes are there EGR VCTS, and 1 ABS for my steering wheel sensor being disconnected. It's always been a CEL and never popped the ABS light. The speed isn't...

Only Starts After Unplugging Then Plugging In ECU

Been doing a bunch of work to my car, finally got it all together and I have an ABS light on, I assume from changing all 4 calipers and the car recognizing ABS needs to be bled. But the issue is after I shut the car off it won't start back up unless I unhook the ECU and plug it back in. It...

1st Teardown While I Build Up

Managed to install the CS exhaust manifold, looks solid but that sucker is waaaaaay heavier than my Tubular manifold! Got my new brake calipers and threw some super hard high head caliper epoxy on them so they don't end up as corroded as the originals... Also got my TB Performance front and...

    Head Repairable?

So i polished all the cam caps and did my best to polish the damaged journal and buttoned it back up. No engine runs forever, and I'll say that cap will be getter more oil flow than the rest... just need to make it through the winter and beginning of spring so I can finish my other block and...

    Head Repairable?

It looks like something got under the cap and ate a couple mm deep gouge into the cam and into the journal. It did not effect the cap because they have an oil valley built into the exact spot whatever made it in sat. Maybe 3 oil changes ago I saw some aluminum sparkles, nothing crazy but I cut...

    Head Repairable?

Yeah I figured. Sucks these CS cams & head have less than 35k miles

    Head Repairable?

Anyone know if this can be repaired, or is even worth repairing VS replacing? Any insight would be appreciated!

1st Teardown While I Build Up

Ran into a couple snags getting my Port Injection setup. The CS Fuel Cell sprung a leak! Spoke to Corksport and apparently it's happened a few times where the fittings molded into the tank aren't sealed properly causing them to leak, so I'm waiting on a new Fuel Cell to put it back together. I...
