Sorry for the late check in. Fixed the problem, found a boost leak and replaced the hose, and car seemed to run fine for a bit. Today while idling at a light the car made like almost no power and stalled when trying to go when the light turned green, and when turning the car back on, the...
Understood, although these are all new developments. Anything I should be checking/what would I need to do about the stuck check valve?
Also, would that explain not being able to build full boost?
I think I will do another not so janky boost leak test as well just to be sure.
Hey! Sorry for the long time without a check in, I have been out of state for a little and just got back. Drove the car today for the first time in over a week to go to work and noticed that car idles very rough at cold start, surging up and down.
Drove the car and it hesitates at around 4k...
Used an abs 3.5" cap on the intake, plugged it with a valve stem and 30PSI pressure gauge from AutoZone. Pressurized to 20PSI at a gas station, didn't seem like there were any leaks, used some soapy water and a spray bottle to check, but shouldn't hear anything or see any bubbles.
New Basemap from PD flashed, but car is running super rough. AFR too lean in all gears (perfect at idle). Car stutters and hesitates a lot in 2nd gear and up until around 4800rpm.
New CEL: P0069: Manifold absolute pressure - barometric Pressure correlation.
Enki said this is due to an...
By the way, I changed diff fluid, transfer case fluid and tranny fluid about 10,000 miles ago, tranny and diff were good, transfer case plug had some extremely fine metal power stuck to the plug. Any cause for concern?
Sorry about that, p0300 is random/multiple cylinder misfire detected.
It's is consistent with car speed, but goes away after a second or two when starting from a stop, and doesn't come back until I stop and then start driving again, like at a stop sign or a light.
I will tackle one issue at...
Seems like EBCS is plumbed for an interrupt setup, so top port would just vent. Put the bolt back in with a lock washer and sealant on the bolt to make sure it holds, car boosts appropriately now (still between 18.5-21PSI depending on RPM). Ordered an e-tune from PD and will be doing a boost...
Good point, will do that and report back.
Also, going to put the bolt back in right now, and noticed something, am I tripping, or is the top port of the Tial EWG supposed to be plumbed to the EBCS? Right now, it has nothing in it. Trying to trace the lines off my EBCS but it's all obscured...
Just replaced o2 sensor, car is running a little better, although misfire on 3 is still present at idle (checked plugs, all in good shape and gapped correctly), now I just have to fix EWG and do a boost leak test. Hoping a retune will fix the misfire.
Will reach out to Will from PD, thank you for the info and the heads up, will definitely get a retune the second I get my current issues sorted. A small price to pay for more reliability (and power/useability).
Oh shit, thank you for the heads up...
Had no clue his tunes were causing problems. Anyone you would recommend for a retune? I live in Los Angeles, but am fine getting a remote tune done if Dyno is not possible here.
Looking like maybe an e-tune from freektune might be good?
If the o2 sensor replacement and boost leak test/repair doesn't work, I'll record logs and attach. (Checked LTFT and it's sitting around +15 when cruising, -0.6 when building boost).
I'm running 91, car is dramatuned but the shop is not in the same state as me.
I'm regards to the EWG bolt...
