About 2 weeks ago I bought a 2008 Mazda speed 3 with 184xxxkms. Test drove it and all went well. On the drive home the bov came out of the hose, tightened back up and it has been misfiring in hard boost ever sense.
The car has mishimotto front mount

Just a random question I had after checking out a friend's Speed3 with a slightly different setup than mine regarding the vacuum lines for the boost controller.
For context, I have an EWG and the setup below mirrors mine, with the exception of my wastegate being external rather than internal...
Newbie here. I have a 2010 MS3 with about 114K miles on it. I bought it used and have owned it for a year. I am not a mechanic, just an owner. I've had a local reputable shop do a lot of work on it to back out some poorly done mods by the prior owner, and to replace worn out parts. I'm happy...
Ever since I got this turbo (BNRS4) from a buddy and installed it, I've been getting boost creep all the way to 22 psi on spring pressure. The internal wastegate is opening, but not enough to vent the boost built. By swapping out a new one, I've already verified that the wastegate actuator isn't...
I have a Gen 1 speed3, it runs great. I noticed though that my AFR today was 14.26-14.41 on cruising. I thought it was closer to 14.7 before…

Hello,
My speed3 is running low on boost (13.57 psi is the most I can get from it if I’m pushing it hard, and this is in 5th) but seemingly not leaking boost when I tested leaks from the turbo back. I can only make 8psi in a 3rd gear wot test.
I’m running the Mazda CX-7 turbo (K0422-582) that...
Been tuning with Justin @ Freektune and he has recently given up in ideas on what's screwing with my boost pressure. He's had me change my wastegate spring from 17 PSI up to 21PSI but no dice. Other brains trusts I have consulted are also short on answers.
Engine mods are:

Hey guys, so I'm scratching my head on this 1. So I started noticing some similar issues to when my last map went bad; high koeo voltage, overboost conditions, high idle with clutch engaged(foot off). So I started shopping, bought a Bosch 3bar but ended up buying the gm version instead.
Part...
So i just recently got my MS3 up and running pretty good. I was seeing close to 0 LTFT, and was making about 19PSI at WOT with the Cobb Stage 3 OTS tune.
On Monday i had my first hiccup, my LTFT shot to -20.88 and are stuck there no matter what throttle position (other than WOT). The engine is...
I've recently been experiencing an issue where on partial throttle (mainly) my BOV will activate randomly and quickly, to where the car sounds like it's sneezing. The pedal position is constant however the wastegate appears to get the signal to dump the boost momentarily before it builds back up...
Today I installed a cobb accessport and a stage 1 ots tune from cobb with my mods being a cobb cat back exhaust and cobb intake. On the first drive car immediately started making a maximum of 3 psi but still read negative pressure down to -10 or -11 psi. No visible smoke from the turbo or...
Hey there,
I’m having a problem with my 2008 Speed 3. When I’m travelling along the highway with cruise control on and I go on a slight incline, the engine begins to burble/misfire after that slight load is introduced. It doesn’t seem to do it under full boost conditions. Only just at low rpms...
Hello all,
I have a question about my 2006 Mazdaspeed6. When running the stage 1 Cobb OTS tune, my car barley hits 13lbs of boost. Curiously, on stage 0 the car hits close to 16lbs all day! I've read around and haven't found a definitive answer as to why this is happening, but I have some ideas...
Here is the quick and dirty on how to perform a boost leak test and build a tester.
BUILDING THE TESTER
Grab the coupler that fits on either your intake "where the filter is" Or Directly on the turbo.
Go to your local home building store and head to the plumbing aisle.
Find a Piece that looks...
