I have a 2007 model that I just can’t get to run reliably. I had 2 injectors die so I replaced all 4. Ran beautifully for a couple of drives and then it hasn’t run great since. Firstly I have issue starting - but if I disconnect the MAF it starts straight away. Got another MAF from a 2nd hand car and it behaves the same. Got an unbranded one, car starts but it splutters, misfires, etc. especially in 2nd gear through to 3rd - so I’m not confident it’s exactly the right one. However once the car is warm if I put old original MAF back in - it runs well/decent.
Threw some other parts at it thinking it’s fuel / air related but no luck.
- brand new HPFP
- brand new MAP
- brand new PCV valve
- brand new fuel distributor pressure valve
- cleaned EGR and pipe.
- new plugs
- new coils
Compression is the same across all 4 cylinders
I’m all out of options trying to get it to run reliably. Any suggestions or help would be super appreciated otherwise it’s off to the wreckers!
