Continuing my Saga of fixing up this ms6, is figuring out why she's only getting 10lbs of boost. Currently live in an apartment complex, so a boost pressure test is a bit difficult for me to perform myself. However, after reading this forum and other pages, I'm leaning toward's it being an issue with the ebcs, as there are no visible or readily audible boost leaks.
I understand I can check the logs for waste gate duty, but I'm not exactly sure what I should be looking for. I'm beginning my journey understanding logs and the mechanisms of an engine.
Question 1: What should I be looking for with the waste gate duty, or more generally, what resources can I read and study to learn more about these type of things?
Question 2: If it is the ebcs, I would like to future proof by buying a 3-port aftermarket. Since, I will be using the stock turbo for the time do I fix the ebcs physically or via a tune.
