Good morning guys

I'm writing to see if some of you could give me some light here, its been a while now since my car sometimes randomly the alarm goes on like crazy. Last night the i was really angry, it woke me up 2 times in the night so imagine how happy i am this morning. My friend told me that this has to be one door that its latch its going faulty, he instructed me with car closed and alarm activated to try to action all door handles to see which door was causing the issue. Unfortunately nothing happened. He then told me, with time its going to show you on the time panel a door open and the inside light will go on.
Well to my surprise it happened, while driving with all door closed, the panel showed that front passenger door was opened and i said bam! you are the cause of my problem. The next day before going to bed i activated the alarm and went to check all doors were closed and when pulling passenger door it started sounding like crazy.
My friend who has a genpu told me that door latch or actuator needed to be replaced but i decided to do a post to see if this has happened to someone. What do you guys suggest?
I found this part number but don't want to make a move until i'm sure!
This is the part i found but it states left side and i couldn't find passenger side

Another question is, how hard is it to replace this part?

I had the door latch sensor go bad on my pu. Unfortunately you have to buy the whole latch assembly for like $80. It wasnt terrible just make sure that you are using a high quality Philips screwdriver for removing the screws holding the latch to the door it's tight as hell and poorly made ones will can out and stop the screw.

Make sure you unplug the battery

Overall not hard if you have ever taken a door card out before. I bought some extra clips for the interior pieces and used all of them. The factory ones were brittle and I broke a bunch even using trim tools

Thank you so much for your answer and your input. The passenger latch is the right side or left side? how much clips did you buy? i tried looking into mazda diagrams, which are the clips you bought?

Passenger is right side

I have to look at the diagram for the clips but I was able to figure it out by looking at the diagram for the whole door. Get a bunch they were cheap enough that I don't feel like it's worth the time trying to not break them

Ok. Thanks. the reason why i asked you about which clips are they is because when looking at the diagram i was not clear to which were the clips you were talking about so i wasn't able to to do the purchase. I was thinking on trying what MinimumJargon did first before doing the purchase but i don't know if its going to solve the problem. As an Engineer what do you think? is it worth it? have you tried it?
This is what im talking about:

I needed my car to commute I had taken the latch assembly out and was going to attempt to take it apart and see if it was repairable. In my case I could not get the case to start spreading without applying a ton of pressure. I was concerned that I would break the latch and be unable to drive the car therefore I just ordered a new one.

What do you recommend me? try the fix or just buy a new one?

I would see what the return policy is at your local dealer on unopened electronic parts. If you can return them I would try fixing the old one and if it goes to hell toss the new one in.

Kinda depends on how you value your time vs $100

I buy from priority mazda parts on Virginia, buying to local dealer here in P.R. is crazy! they want to charge you an eye and half of another.
