Curious, is there functionality available in the future to hide sections that one doesn't normally read/participate in? For instance I don't normally frequent the MSM/Miata, MS Protege, CX7 and Ford EB sections.

They take up so much space is ridiculous to ask someone to scroll by... Because that wouldn't take more than 2 secs

One could do just scroll but the newer forums generally are not laid out in condensed formats as previous versions. It's functionality that's available on many other forums so members can ignore sections irreverent to them. It's just a question, if it isn't available whatever.

In all honesty I usually browse on Tapatalk, so its automatically condensed. If I pull up the web version I agree condensed (customizable) would be nice

I only use Tapatalk to keep up on subscribed threads. If I'm searching for something I prefer the web version.

No rush, just wanted to throw it out there. There are more important things to attend to first.

Testing two separate features to help clean up the forums page:
  1. Some lower traffic sections are in grid format.
  2. You can now collapse entire sections. Collapsed sections should be remembered by your browser by a cookie.
Share your thoughts on both.

You guys are loving the light grey on grey on top of grey huh?

Ooh look it's grey, on grey, on more grey....

Any other colors on your palette wheel?

I never claimed to be good at design. I quite despise design. That's what my wife is for... If you'd like to go nuts on a screenshot in paint or whatever with a paint can/fill tool, I can try to replicate it in a theme.

How about the expand/collapse and grid features on the main forums page?

lol

Dont' take it the wrong way, I'm a crochety old fool, I'm giving you constructive criticism based on what my old ass can see.

The expand collapse is good for me.

I suck at design too. (see my example, you did say go nuts in paint...)painted.png

Well, let's not be too proud ask the wife for input. I'm not saying pink and gray is the solution but a little from help the opposite sex developing a color theme that reads well would help us old folks.

No offense taken. Just saying... Function over form as far as I'm concerned unless someone who is a pro at design steps up and gives me something better to work with.

Edit: Not to say I think MSO looks terrible or anything. It's just theme defaults, for the most part.

Not exactly what I had in mind. Lol
