Hey guys, big oopsie here. So basically around may/June sometime I bought the kit to replace the pivot shaft bearing, breather, and seal. Install seemed to go fine as far as I could tell and I didn't think I lost much trans fluid doing this but had a weird noise that would occasionally happen at idle (sounded like a light knock/pebbles rolling around). Car drove fine but I assumed maybe the oil was too low from the leak/repair. I accidentally used the wrong transmission fluid (redline mtl 75w80). Since then I have had a friction type noise when driving especially at low speeds and somewhat of a whine/whistle. Since the idle noise went away, I didn't realize I used the wrong fluid, and I was having fueling issues I thought nothing of it. Now I fixed my fuel issue and learned I used the wrong fluid... the 75w80 has been in the car about 4 months. Since I couldn't find any threads about similar issues after pivot shaft seal repair I'm hoping replacing the fluid with the Ford fluid will solve the issue and I didn't damage anything yet. Car is shifting fine just sometimes has resistance so hoping this is a good sign, will update when I replace it.
