So last year I replaced some pieces of the OCC system I have (JBR). Replaced the lines and the petcock fitting. I hated it. Was always hard to open and never sure if it was tight enough. Was also starting to rust. So I tried to duplicate what the newer kits have.
Thing is, changes oil today and when I took the pan off there was a lot of oil under where the can is. The only part that looked dirty was the tip. When I opened the valve nothing came out. It’s been well over a week since I’d driven it so maybe other sections leak but dried? Maybe I didn’t have it on tight enough?
Could oil and air really blow by that twist knob? It was in the proper position when I got the pan off. And it takes quite a bit of twisting to start seeing the gap.

Partially open:
It didn’t generate a vac leak apparently. Or not one that kicked a CEL. I don’t have anything on my main tune screen to monitor it. Never thought of it.
Anyone have an idear? Maybe that’s a shit setup. I dunno. I reinstalled and tightened it more than it was initially. Maybe that’s the ticket. How worried should I be?
