As the title states, Beware of cheap parts for these cars.

I posted about an issue MONTHS ago regarding my GENPU MS3 not revving past 5500 RPMS. This Issue sent me down a rabbit hole of throwing parts "Parts cannon", Research and a lot of sleepless nights working on the car. I mean, I felt like I had literally done everything.
I did VVT set with all OEM parts, re-did the FMIC, New turbo, New boost controller, New BOV, New downpipe, New O2 sensors, new FPRV, new Crank position sensor and a new cam position sensor
Car still cut out at 5500 RPMS.
I wanted to sell it, I grew a hatred towards this car. Seemed like no matter what I did, it wouldn't rev past 5500 rpm.
Well I talked to people, Had someone look over the logs and they told me to check out my intake as it seemed like something was choking it, I didn't believe it because why would I? I had had the intake off 50+ Times at this point, I know everything looked good. But beyond my judgement, I went ahead and bought a Damond 3.5IN intake, and purchased a retune. Hell why not.

The day comes, I install the new intake and load the new basemap on. Go out, drive the car for 20 miles and finally its datalog time. I hit the highway, take off in 3rd and the car goes all the way to redline. I had never been so excited. The car worked now. The car FELT amazing.

After inspecting the old intake, The cheap, Chinese ZAP Turbo inlet pipe was actually vacuuming shut under boost. Whoda thunk it.

So please, If you're new here. BEWARE of cheap Chinese parts. They will cause you issues, and cost you ALOT of money in the process.
And also, don't cheap out on something that's NEEDED for your car to run right. I purchased the car with the Turbo inlet pipe installed!

Where did you get the coupler that was trash?

He did say he bought it with it so he probably doesn't know. But my money is on one of two places, either eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/115511511219
or else Amazon item B0BZ3XG99S [can't figure out how to make the link work it gets replaced with MEDIA tag shit that doesn't appear for me at least ARRRR]
because that's the only places it shows up on a Googly search and those are the favorite sites for lazy normies. Could be elsewhere but yeah, in the bigger picture, buy the known stuff from the named vendors. Don't be lazy or cheap. And don't parts cannon, holy hell that list of things he replaced. Not cheap and just as important tons of needless labor. And let's hope he did some good quality upgrades, I mean if you're going to swap the turbo at least get a BNR up in there, and if you're going to re-downpipe get a good quality low-resist catted downpipe.

I hate to say this but a ton of people who sell automotive performance parts that are "made in the USA" actually come from China. Sometimes you just get a bad part.

Not saying that everyone does this, but a lot do.
