brandonf speed6 bt build

I said fook it and ordered a new radiator core from Summit. I added a tube of RTV to the order to get it over the amount for free shipping (minus the bulk order fee) and saved myself about $10, lulz. It came in the other day looking brandy new, but I have to cut a chunk out of the passenger side (arm?) to clear the FMIC hotside pipe. And NO @Rokusek I'm not breaking the arm on it like you did on my other ones (both the ms3/ms6). :D

I'm also planning to make some custom L brackets to mount the intercooler into the crash bar since it's already cut, using some aluminum bars my dad has lying around.

I also ordered the Planted seat base, and side mounts for the Sparco Evo II US racing seat.. I found the sliders I ordered ages ago, so that will go in after I get the parts in.

The custom aluminum mounts for the FMIC came out decent. They're much sturdier than the crappy hardware that comes with the kit:

Installed the driver side sparco evo ii us racing seat w/ the sparco side mounts, planted seat bracket, and universal sliders today.. what a PAIN IN THE ASS! It took about 10 times putting the seat in and out, tightening/loosening random bolts a bunch of times to get the sliders to align properly, but I finally found the right order. (Install side mounts/then mount those on the sliders, and THEN mount the sliders to the base, checking after EACH bolt to make sure it still slides and each slider is aligned with each other). But, it's done!

Yuck.. that's painful

FINE, pictures have been taken. Ignore the mess, it'll all be cleaned up once I get the car up and running again. I have parts/crap all over the place at the moment, and the seat was sitting in my garage for like 9 years. Again, PITA to install!20260122_184345.jpg20260122_184400.jpg20260122_184418.jpg

Today, I worked on the APR front splitter. I got most of the holes drilled and mounted up to the front bumper, but I still need to pick up some coupling nuts for the middle section, mount the support rods, and make some L brackets to mount the rods to the bumper beam. But @Rokusek demands pictures, so here's one to hold him over. :D20260201_151423.jpg

I got everything mounted up for the front splitter, filled the diff with fluid, vacuumed out the car and cleaned the mess, got the new tires mounted/balanced/put on, and everything is put back together! All I need to do is bleed the brakes and adjust the intake so it doesn't push my broken brake fluid cap off the reservoir, and get an inspection.. yay! Pics of the front splitter and a picture of the sad dog waiting for the car to be done, so she can get some damn attention!20260208_162721.jpg20260208_163428.jpg20260208_163755.jpg
