Car sat for several years. Heavily modified...no access to ATR. During 3rd gear pulls breaks up at 3200 RPM. Log is attached. Any advice on what to look for?

4" intake, pte 5855 turbo, full motor build with heavy intake porting (all from Downmented), 3-port ebcs, jmf intake manifold, fmic, split second controller w/ 1000cc bosch injectors, graveyard surge tank port injection kit, ? ewg exhaust manifold w/ 44mm tial mvr, tial bpv.

Spark plug gap is fine, tried the PRV test, but it's not building pressure after I turn the car off/back to the on position. Ground is fine. Yeah, I was planning to clean the hpfp internals.

HPFP is fine; pressure is dropping out while APP is 0; AFR is leaning out, causing engine to misfire. PRV test is only valid if the engine is HOT and you key off with already high pressure (blip the throttle and shut it off as RPMs climb).

Are you in the process of being tuned for Aux? If so, report this to your tuner, unless they asked you not to do a WOT pull, in which case you have failed to follow instructions.

Also, who is your tuner?

It was a 6265 gen 1 turbo unless you've swapped it

@Enki Last I knew it was on a base map without aux fuel on yet from a well known tuner who has since stopped tuning the car.

Thanks for all folks filling in the blanks. I think I figured out who you all are. Long story about the why the car was sitting so long and why I (the owner's dad) is having to relay information to the owner. We only have the weekends to work on the car to get it ready for a proper tuning. I'll confirm all of the clarification requests in the EST evening hours. I appreciate your responses.

After talking with the owner, it might be the tune in the car, it's for e-85, which is not being ran right now.

Put an old base tune back on, do a MAF cal and try again. Also, get a pro tune lined up for it.

I do suggest cleaning the HPFP completely and replacing all three fuel filters due to the length of time the car sat. And it wouldn't hurt to clean and flo test the injectors as well as put new filters in those as well.

Filters can be gotten from Injector rehab. The HPFP rebuild kit can be had from corksport. Inspect the injector seals as well and replace if needed.

As far as we know the tune was for e-85. Will confirm more in morning after breakfast when it's light out, not cold AF and I can look at the car a bit better.

Good seeing Rokusek after all these years. He and Flo came up with a way ahead after looking at the inputs from all. I did find the project build plan and as DISIFTW pointed out, the turbo is a gen 1 6265. The first step will be to totally go through the fuel system as Awafrican suspected. Flo was running E85 for some time, and switched to 93 Octane only after everyone started learning about fuel system damage from E85. Once the pump rebuild, filter replacements, injector rebuilds are done, it's time to get a tune. So thank you to all. This will take a bit of time.

Sorry for the delayed response, been crazy since getting home from the East Coast.

But yes, rebuild/clean HPFP, Clean and have injectors flow tested, replace all fuel filters on car with ethenol safe filters. Wouldn't be a bad idea to do the injector seals as well at the same time.

Then put back together and get a tune done.

I'm glad I got to see you both! It's been far too long. Next time hopefully it won't be so long.

Also, here is my post on my thread about the filters and more details about swapping them a little further down. You can go back a few pages as well and find the pictures of the HPFP rebuild as well.

Here's a bit of pump break down and scroll down from there to see more.

Those couple of posts should help out a ton. And of course either of you can call me for help too.
