SOLVED!!!

I am needing some help figuring out why my gen 1 will not rev past 5k RPMs

I started the tuning process and the first revisions the car WOT just fine.
The car was then taken to a shop to have a wiring issue fixed, the wire from the fuse box to the ignition was replaced.
before it was taken to the shop, i did the clutch pedal switch bypass hoping that would fix the starting issue but it didn't and i have yet to plug the switch back in.

I did a log of the 5k issue and my tuner said everything looked good on his end. I went back to the base map when it did do WOT fine to double check but it does it on that map as well now.

I changed the spark plugs and gapped them to what my tuner wanted.

Mods on the car are:
Stock Turbo
HTP 3.5 intake with Recirc delete
Turbo XS FMIC
Turbo XS RFL BOV full VTA
Guardian Angel v3
Autotech Internals
Turbo XS down pipe no cat
3.5 straight pipe exhaust
PERM plate with Dual Catch cans, 1 vent & 1 sealed
NGK 6510 gapped to .025

any help would be appreciated, im am doing my research in the meantime, just looking for ideas

Thanks fellas

What exactly happens when you hit 5k RPMs? Does it feel like rev limiter or misfiring? Can you post the log that you have of the issue? Are you running any meth or E in the car?

It feels like a limiter, it does it at the same exact rpm and in every gear, tuner said change spark plugs, new plugs and it still does it

Yeah, definitely looks like fuel cut. I would assume the tuner would've saw that though... What are your boost/load targets?

It should be around 20 psi, im not sure what the load target should be
[doublepost=1487700422][/doublepost]It feels as though the boost takes forever to hit also, it usually won't get up there until after 3500
[doublepost=1487701438][/doublepost]Is running a one step colder plug a problem, ive always used them just fine. IDK if the stock heat range would be better though

Reminds me of FFS for some reason. Are the limiter tables set correctly? Maybe play around with the clutch pedal switch and sensors? Clutch position sensor to be more specific.

Step colder plugs can cause misfire issues with E or meth, that's why I was asking about that.

well i told my tuner that im using ngk 6510, he didn't advise running stock heat range, i did read on another forum that people had the same issue and went back to stock heat range and it fixed it. The only new things I've added since i had a complete tune last year is the full vta bov with the gaurdian angel and the intake with the recirc delete. I might swap the stock bpv on and see if that does it. I also and dripping coolant a little but i always top it off before i drive but IDK how that would cause it. I haven't had time to look into that yet.

The fact that your injector duty cycle drops to 0 like that is strange. What did your tuner have to say about that? @neganox 's recommendation is a good one. Keep boost under 20psi and try to get above 5k RPMs.

Im going to try this out in a little bit, tuner did not mention the IDC being a problem, he's a reputable tuner so i'm sure he would say if it was. just don't want to name drop for the sake of being biased.

Judging by your sig I'm assuming Purple Drank. Those guys know whats up. I'm sure you'll get this sorted.

Have you plugged the switch back in?

I understand, but IDC dropping to 0 at any point during a WOT pull is strange. I'd just make sure they caught that, just to be sure. Not trying to rag on your tuner or anything, they go through a lot of logs, so it's easy to miss one cell lol.
