Hello all!
I decided to refresh and upgrade the entire brake system on the '13 speed.
CS BBK, motul RBF 660, Damon rear slider pins, rear CS pads, and Falken Azenis RT660s all got installed by my local shop.
When the shop went to put the wheel back on they had a clearance issue with the caliper. After a panicked phone call with Raider and another panicked phone call to CS, I realized there was, in fact, BIG RED LETTERING on the BBK page saying "hey dumbass this won't fit without spacers."
I went back and forth for a while on whether or not to do studded spacers or to do (in my mind the more geometrically sound thing) and install extended studs and smooth spacers. After a combination of reassurance from autocrossers, eibach, and the knowledge that this setup is only until I switch to a full staggered front wheel set up, I went ahead and got 20mm studded spacers from Eibach, and I really like how far out it pushes the front wheels. They are practically flush with the fender wells.
So how does it drive? I'll let you know sometime this year hopefully. Next up on the list is to finish cleaning the valves, injector seals now that the injectors are back from their cleaning by EBC in Georgia, the oil catch can, and then hopefully I can get the flying turd back on the road (working around rain every single day blows.
