They are 100% factory. I did not modify anything. But if you want to crack em open, that is how. Thanks for that was there any problem with headlight alignment once you got it back on?
I so glad you still rocking the CX-7! I'm getting the PD Tuned too now.Getting a pro tune on it now from PD tuning. So far, tune number 9. Runs great. Still loving this car.View attachment 18174
Vvt/chain , turbo but just lack of Maintenence.I'm looking for a new bad weather daily/winter beater, and am inches from pulling the trigger on a CX-30 lease, but I just stumbled upon a CX-7 with the DISI and around 100k miles for sale near me for around $6500. I'd always heard that there were severe reliability problems with the CX-7s, but for that price, and with my knowledge of the MS3 platform and likely ability to easily work on the thing, it has me thinking. What are the main failure points on these cars?
Follow the tips hereSo VVT just like a GenWon, turbo issues, which isn't typically an MS3 issue, but solvable, and anything else? If I buy one of these to daily with my 4 year old in the back, can one of these (provided that it has been taken care of) cart us around reliably? Gas mpg is not particularly good, but the delta between a $6,500 car and a $22,000 one pays for a fuckton of gas, and repairs for that matter.
