First road trip in the Speed

Well boys and girls, I’ve put on 3k miles since getting my speed, and I’m feeling confident she’s ready to make my 400 mile trip to Orlando. In preparation I’ve changed the oil, threw some new spark plugs(actually went step colder), topped off coolant and power steeering fluids, and making sure tires and brakes are all good to go. Very excited to see how my fuel economy will turn out since according to the OBD mpg calculator on the car I’m averaging 32.2 mpg.. so wish me luck and I hope you all have a great day!

Enjoy, one of the reasons I bought my first was ability to drive non-stop through a tank and still want to do another tank. Cruise ability to not touch throttle pedal is nice too.

Super luck! Enjoy!!!!

Thanks! Just made it late last night!

I managed 39 mpg the trip there, and that was spirited driving to say the least

You are going to want stock heat range plugs
I feel like a dummy now haha. Curious why everyone seems to recommend them? I’m still pretty noobish with this platform

They recommend them because they don't know better and it's a band wagon thing just like running Rotella for oil even though there's better oil out there these days especially if you're in the Facebook groups.

Running too cool plugs will foul them quicker. Yes step older plugs is good for when you're running some decent bolt ons like DP, intake hpfp, intercooler and tuned for it. But tossing them in on a stock engine is not a good idea you're better off to get a good set of NGK stock heat range spark plugs and gap them to .027" when stock or close too it.
