Here are some simple instructions on how to swap out a shift boot.
Thanks to @FattiMotorWorks for the shift boot.
Tools: Screw driver
First remove the shift knob
Next, As you can see in the two pictures below, you will want to lift up on the cup holders lid and you will find a lip. Pull up on the lip and the center console will come loose. You can also lift up from the back, where you open the center console, and you can lift the whole piece out. You will have to angle the piece so that it can clear the e-brame.
Once you lift the whole piece out, it will split into two piece. Turn over the small piece and you will see 4 screws holding the shift boot in.
As you can see in the picture below, once you remove the screw it will separate into 2 pieces. At this point you can now remove the old shift boot and install the new shift boot.
Now that you have swapped out the boot, you can place the two pieces together. Note, the screw holes line up one way, so if you put it together and the holes don't line up, then turn it around and it will line up. Once you screw the pieces together, you can install now place it over the shiftER and pop it in place. Note, that the little flip cover needs to be up in order for it to go in. Then you can install the cup holder section and you are done.
Final product
Overall, this took me maybe 15 minutes total to do. It's very easy and very quick to do. I hope this helps for those that get a new shift boot.
