Has any one ever tried installing a standalone in to a mps 3 gen 2.? I'm having issues with engine fan, drive by wire (stalling on ocasion), fuel level gauge .

Microsquirt. I'm gona have to upgrade to a ms3 to take advantage of knock, DBW ect.. but by the looks of things if I want to keep going in this direction I'm gona have to lose cruise control, a/c control, DBW, fuel gauge bloody gets manipulated by the ecu as well.

Those are the things that you have to deal with the standalone route. I believe the microsquirt will ran out of I/O pretty quick. But now there's more options out there as far for ecu's. The other thing is the CAN Bus integration if you want to keep everything working. There's guys out there that are pretty good with the can bus integration. Or like enki said, pay for the big boys ecu.
On the standalone world is either you go all in or don't do it.
