My longblock is a little long in the tooth but not needing any work right now (at 150K miles). I do expect it to need work in the next 50k miles though so I would rather start a slow build now so I am ready to just swap when my factory block pukes. I am not looking for a huge improvement in power, just reliability.
I see a ton of the JDM take outs for CX7s available. Do the CX7 longblocks differ from the MS3 ones? Are the cams the same? Injectors (I know, injectors are not longblock but just wondering)? If I got a CX7 2.3 that was automatic, would I have any problems installing my clutch where the flex plate was? I saw something about a baffle being different, I assume I can just swap that across, eh? Anything else that would suck?
