You can get a catback from ebay even if it doesn't fit. Any competent exhaust shop can make something fit for fairly cheap.
Even though cobb eats penises, I will always hands down recommend the cobb v2 exhaust for the genpoop.
Bought and installed this rebuilt turbo. I just checked it out at 1290 miles and it's fine so far. I'm keeping an eye on it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-2010-...0422-582-L33L13700C-By-New-CHRA-/111867142184
Is the Cobb CBE really 900 dollars? Wow. I think I saw ATP CBE for sale on a vendor's site for less than half of that. Not to thread jack but I do really like the simple design of the Cobb and Corksport CBE systems. I actually don't really like all the twisty tubes of the Cpe and even the UR design seems a bit unnecessarily twisty but it looks good. I've heard nothing but great things about the Cobb CBE, which for $900 it should only be positive reviews.
I'm amazed I haven't seen any Chinese knock offs of the Cobb/Corksport design. You think it would be cheaper to manufacture than the UR knock offs due to the simplicity of it.
For $230 and a 1 year warranty, I think it was definitely worth taking a shot. I hope that baby hold up for you for years to come.

This made me LOL.I'm guessing the $150 class on how to properly listen to exhaust sounds is included.
Ebay CBE here. The only "car parts" I've ever bought off of ebay are no worries rice parts like front lips and wing extensions. I've never bought any real hard parts from no name manufactures on ebay. After reading this thread, I might consider a DP since people seem to be having good luck with them.
What are you're guys opinions on the Chinese CBE knock offs all over ebay? I've briefly considered getting one since they are so cheap but CBE isn't high on my mod list at the moment. I figure since I live in a place that hardly ever rains and never sees snow, it may not be that bad an idea. Worse case scenario would be that it fits like total shit and is unusable and I'm out $300. That would suck.
Thanks for replying. How bad was the fitment? Any pics?Ebay CBE here.
I have one and fitment wasn't 100% perfect (damaged a little in shipping i believe) and it is loud. So far only 2 months in on it so i will report back later. You can get it a little cheaper on protouringlabs.com i believe.

I've read that the mufflers and resonators on some of these ebay CBE systems are really just empty canisters and that's why they are so loud. If true, I guess I could cut out the resonator on it and have a shop weld in a straight through Vibrant resonator in it's place to tame the sound a bit.
Sorry I missed the shipping damage part. Yeah, I have a test pipe too so I'm on the same boat you are in that regard. This is good info though. Thanks.Like i said i believe mine may have been damaged in shipping as the box was in terrible shape and the very slight missalignment of the tip only affected one side. So i might not hold that one against them, but yes the resonator was visibly straight through and i don't believe the "mufflers" are anything but straight through too. Mine also has the lower test pipe so yours might not be as loud if you are stock.

As you can see, slightly misaligned on the driver side, and yes the car is filthy. I need to clean it up very soon. I see, that's not too bad. My only complaint per say, would be the tips don't quite come out enough so it gets soot all over the bumper.
Good stuff everyone.
Also wanted to mention I bought a Gplus turbo inlet pipe or hose shortly after buying the car. I looked at Cobb and corksport prices and decided to try since it was a 1/3 the price.
Fit was tight , a heater hose was rubbing the bottom but that may be normal with all silicone hoses larger than stock. The metal couplers at the inlet and bpv hose came out after removal to install hpfp internals.
I emailed seller about maybe returning it and they offered 10 refund. So for 38 dollars, I figured it was worth it. I might upgrade one day...
PM Sent!@SupersixEVO I've had the Ebay "speed daddy" CBE 3" to 4.5" Tips for a few years now I haven't inspected it in a while but so far so good I'll take a look at it soon to see if it's funky.
I also live in a DRY state so idk how it holds up to harsher rusty conditions
The fitment is good where the install is a breeze drove up small ramp and swapped in like 20 mins but like dayton my tips sit exactly like his where the passenger is perfect but driver side is a little off not too big of a deal unless you want it perfect I never got it aligned cause it doesn't hit, melt the bumper or anything crazy.
PM me if you want me to send you a sound clip of it. 3" catless DP to this ebay CBE
