Got a MS3 this week, try to repair it but never touched this chassis
Year/Make/Model: 09 MS3
Mileage: 140100
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Concern:
1. I can feel the misfire randomly
2. Turbo only boost to 8-9 psi, 5th gear can hit 12psi but that’s it.
3. Drove it from tempe, AZ back to LA, terrible gas mileage, 21 on freeway. last owner had 5w20 in motor. Burned 2 qts in 200 miles, after top off some 5w30 it’s burning way slower.
4. New spark plug on, gapped to 027, still same thing. I can see oil in cylinder 4 thru the spark plug tube. Old plugs shows running rich.
5. AFR is sitting at 14.90 on idle, while driving lowest it went to 10, running rich WOT, can see black smoke, HPFP press. sit at low 1700 then WOT , 450-550 when idling
6. Cold side intercooler hose is dry.
7. No any CEL, not even previously

Modifications: none
ECU/Tuning Software: Cobb stage 0
Tuner:
Is the concern intermittent? : no
right now I know I need to do these :
Compression test
Leak down test
Check PCV
Check vacuum leak
New coil packs
Whatelse I can do? Should I just get a used motor instead?
Some one told me maybe cuz there’s a lot carbon buildi around the rings, suggested me pour a lil bit ATF in to the bore and let it set over night to clean the carbon, is that doable?
