Hi,
I have the P0012 code and a check engine light.
I heard to check the cam cap which leads the oil to the vvt, and yes it’s leaking from the cam cap when I turn the motor around trying to start. any solutions?
 
the vvt solenoid on the top of the valve cover left side of the engine bay as you're looking at it?
probably just needs a new oring for the oil leak. you can get the vvt solenoid oring from Mazda, you'll also need a new VC gasket and VC bolt orings along with some etc.

what's the engine code description, we don't have them memorized.
