POPS ON DECELERATION

Hello.
What tables in the ATR should I modify to produce pops on deceleration?
Just creaking when decelerating. No fire.
In which table is the disabling fuel injection?
Thank you

Mazdaspeeds aren't exactly known for their crackle's if you're tuned properly you'll get some pops naturally. There's one tuner out there that offers crackle tunes that I'm aware of and as far as I know those engines blow up frequently.

I appreciate you're looking for help but the helpful advice that'll be echoed is do not try and give yourself a crackle tune it'll end in disaster for your engine. afaik this has to do with the ECU tuning logic. There's a few threads on this matter around here of you look and they all end the same way.

I understand.
I thought producing crackles just by opening exhaust valves and at 14.7 afr would be safe for the engine.
Thanks for the advice.

The decel fuel cut table is not exposed in the Cobb software for emissions reasons. So no Burbles.

You can rape the ignition timing tables for pops and bangs on decel , but you'll burn up exhaust valves and they sound terrible.

Is the decel fuel cut table not available in the ATR?
Curious. In Versatuner yes it is.
Just decreasing ignition advance with the throttle closed will not produce crackles, since there is no explosion.
Thanks for the info. I also see that it is not recommended for the health of the engine.

Same man every time I use cobb off the shelf map my egr kicks the engine light I called them they told me I had egr issues so I unmarried the acess port and no engine lights I use stratified no engine light unless I unplug the egr thinking the tuned had deleted the egr but not the Case

super rich. the ebcs decided to work on this log. Still only works less than half the time, so a replacement is on its way from Eric Yarbrough
slight down hill towards the end of the log hence the jump in tq past 6700rpm

The twin disc. I feel like I'm learning how to drive a manual all over again. It grabs hard, the engagement point is far up in the pedal travel, and the engagement is immediate. I've definitely stalled it few times taking off from a stop lol

You have to manually turn off the DTCs for the EGR system otherwise the ECU still monitors and tries report errors

Can't disable the cel anymore thanks California for being idiots Cobb bent to their will. So any new tunes won't be able to disable the cel

Cobb ots maps are garbage anyway and should not be used

Agree but I still have my egr installed so I unmarried the acess port and egr throw codes but I run stratified stage 2 tune and egr don't kick the engine light but u unplug the egr valve after shutting the car off for a bit the engine light will kick it confusing as hell

If the tune was made prior the the Cobb green speed update, it probably has the codes disabled.

Only new tune files cannot disable codes

Idk confusing because if code was deleted would it matter if the egr plugged in or not

There isn't just one code for the EGR there are several. You have codes for the EGR solenoid circuit, EGR flow, etc. It isn't just one code to turn off. You should also make your own thread for the issues you're having.

It's not hard, navigate to the section you want to make a thread in, and click the button in the top right.

This thread is not about the egr codes, it's about a POS crackle tune. Attaching a screenshot of garbage tune options which have been discussed about the fact that it'll burn exhaust valves is not helpful even to the OP when you simply attach a screenshot shot

About your support screen shots; emailing Cobb support about a stratified tune won't get you anywhere you need to contact stratified. Make a thread about it put it together as one with exactly what's going on. If your egr is unplugged and throwing a code it sounds like the tune doesn't account for no egr.... Was the tune even done for your vehicle?

lmao it’s not California’s fault. The EPA is what pressured cobb, which is a FEDERAL agency.
