Radiator shroud clearance

Thoughts on how to gain clearance for the contact shown below?

There is ~1/2" above the radiator before it contacts the radiator support. Marks in the photo show trim lines if that is not enough. One of the radiator fan support beams would be removed. Anyone have experience with removing it and still running the fan?

Seeing as how this was such a popular topic...

Raising the radiator 1/2" is possible. At over 1/2" lift you will begin compressing the a/c radiator against the radiator support.

The bottom supports have a wider base than the shaft, so cutting spacers is required.

Without disassembly of the shroud/radiator, the over 1/2" lift to put in spacers requires a bit of trimming to the top of the radiator support.

The shroud fulled seated on the CS radiator with the 1/2" lift, but the FMM was still making contact when fully buckled in.

Several revisions of cutting happened. The end result is shown below. It retains the fan support and is centered on the bottom of the radiator shroud circle.

New test fit gives a bit less than 1/2" between mount and the shroud. I think a bit of high temp tape, or foam on the bar will seal the hole in the shroud while maintaining the gap.

Don't forget to block off around the newly created gaps between the radiator and the radiator support too.
