Smoke with new turbo and oil catch can.

Hello. I drive a 2010 mazdaspeed 3.
I recently installed a cork sport oil catch can. And installed a new rotomasters turbo cartridge. Every time I start the car it idles a little rough and white smoke comes out from behind the engine bay. And it smells like something is burning. I primed the turbo properly and can not figure out what is going on. Do new turbos smoke? Help please!!!!!!!!
 
There will some burnoff with a new turbo CHRA install but should clear up in a short time. I did a Rotomaster CHRA about 10 years ago with no issues after. I would check your connections at the CHRA, and take a look from underneath. Check the oil return tube to the block.
Also revisit your OCC install, if its installed or not operating properly you could affect crankcase pressures.
 
Where is the smoke? Tailpipe or under the hood
 
Ah missed that completely. Op white smoke should be water check the coolant lines. The rough idle could be an air leak
