Stock turbo 1/4 mile record, Project Mazdassped6 DragCar

We had an awesome season at Damond Motorsports! The Damond Motorsports Project Mazdaspeed6 Dragcar got deep into the 11s and reset the Mazdaspeed stock turbo record again with a great pass. We know the car still has more in it, so we'll be keeping an eye out to see if the track stays open. Check out the video of our stock turbo MS6, setting the new stock turbo record at 11.739@111mph in the 1/4 mile. We've got big plans for this car next year, so stay tuned!

Is there a build list of this car? Since it's stock turbo, is it stock block? That's a hell of a k04!

I'll let the DM guys give a proper response but in short, yes factory longblock (pretty high mileage too iirc). There was talk of them giving a rundown of the car before they tear it apart this winter to turn it into a monster.

It is a stock block. Turbo is off a gen 2 MS3. We'll try to get something together this weekend for what the whole build had.

I am very excited to see what is in store for this car. I feel most high-hp MS6s I've seen seem to not work so well on the 1/4 (whether that's driver, parts breaking, etc...) so I look forward to seeing your progress.

Could say that about NASCAR, or any racing series that has a "less than F1 or top fuel" bar for it's particular set of restrictions. It's a challenge in all cases.
