I will be heading to the drag strip this weekend to do some 1/4 mile runs in my mazdaspeed 3. I have gotten lots of mixed answers regarding how i should drive in order to get the best times and maintain a working vehicle :P ! So i have bolt on mods on the K04 with an E85 Freektune with launch control set at 3k. I am not sure i should just hold launch control and dump the clutch and go or what kinda of technique i should do. Thanks in advance!

It will all depend on track prep and your tires. You'll have to find the happy spot where you don't spin or bog. The art of drag racing is making it go down the track fast. Figuring out how to do it is the art. If you're doing Bandiemere I'm 5 miles away. If you break something we can get it to my place to fix. Let me know if you need anything.

tapatalk, it sucks

Unless you're trying to beat someone, don't rush the light. Prepare yourself and launch when you're ready.

it went pretty good other than thinking i broke my axles from so much wheel hop or breaking my coil packs checking my compression after LOL. Did beat on some pretty nice STI's though :)
