Tips on Installing Intake 3.5in

What's up everyone!

Any tips on installing the CS 3.5in intake? I have the battery and battery box out currently along with the factory air filter. Having issues getting the inlet onto the turbo. There is one thick cable in particular that will not move and I don't want to force anything.

Also the coupler causes friction passing through cables so that's another obstacle.

Is it a cable, or a hose? Believe its a common thing to extend a coolant hose when putting on a large intake.

Yep. Coolant hose. Easy to extend; look up the htp extension kit to confirm the diameter and then just run to the parts or hardware store and grab what you need for a few bucks.

HTP has a kit with a fancy picture even.

Kit consists of:

1- 5/8" Gates Hose Connector (28604)

1- 3" Section of 5/8" Hose

2- Hose Clamps

This!!! Obviously you can go make your own kit but definitely have this ready to go. Alternatively you can just replace the entire hose with a longer one.

FWIW I had that gates connector fail on me after a few years (became soft and deformed and eventually broke) and left me stranded once. I've since replaced it with an aluminum hose splice and no issues in the last year.

Yeah that or a nice brass one is definitely a good way to go.
