Toyota Injector Seals?

My stock injector seals are bad and the cheap bastard in me was looking for an alternative to cp-e/corksport/stock seals since the price for them seems pretty steep for such a small piece of brass. I was able to find Toyota part number: 11177-64010 on an old MSF post and was wondering if anyone here has tried them or has any input on them. I'm probably going to try purchasing them anyway since shipping them costs more than the actual part.
 
overspeed has also been making good injector seals, can buy from them on facebook or from edgeautosport (one of our forum vendors). either overspeed or CS def the way to go for non leaky seals
 
I'd take Overspeed over CS. A lot of CS seal failures as of the past 6-8 months. I have yet to see failure on Overspeed, and I just like them better as a company and they are a touch cheaper than the CS ones.

I have unfollowed most MS3 bullshit in general but do you have any references for CS seal failures? Were these failures due to installer error or have there been changes to CS's seals to all of a sudden make them a bad choice?

I don't have links, sadly. But you can probably ask around and find something. We all think there have been measurement/design changes that may have screwed some shit up. Nobody really knows. I just call it like I see it.
 
I can't imagine they'd be modifying the design of such a heavily proven part. I haven't seen any murmerings floating around of issues except in cases of re-use or improper installation.

If you want to take the risk the RockAuto kit comes with an OEM style injector seal and the Orings it comes with are great. I have been using all that with CS seals making 550+ whp at 36+ psi and no issues. If you got the time and not the money I am sure the seals it come with will get you back on the road for now until you can go CS or Overspeed. If anything getting the new orings is worth it.

I have seen zero posts on any shit Facebook group of any failure of CS seals since they first came out. And I know a ton of people too. No issues. You have a boner for dumping on them though, that is fact.

Doesn't seem to really matter yet, as OP is getting the seals known to fail over the past 10 years of modding speeds. Next set of seals will be cs or overspeed, though.
 
Just to be clear im not using the rockauto compression seals just the top o rings. Just thought Id buy them in a kit and have some shitty seals handy. Im definitely going CS seals since I already ordered them.

I do, but I'm not going to make up a story about seeing part failures just to dump on them. I remember sometime pre-COVID there was a discussion about seals and a bunch of people came forward about failures w/ their CS seals. I'd link it/provide screenshots if I had them but I don't.

I misread, my apologies!
 
I still think the OEM version is a solid replacement for someone who needs to get back on the road and does not have 200$ to spend on seals. My OEM seals lasted 145k before I swapped them and they were not leaking. I get that CS and OS are the end all to fix the issue but if you are on a budget and have the time but not the money , the rock auto ones will get you back on the road. Then you can put some dollars away and replace them with CS or OS 10k down the road.

Mebbe the seals have been quietly improved like the turbo, PCV and VVT actuator with the letter desinator added
 
I’ve used the GB seals and didn’t have any leaks in the few months I used them before the engine broke. What’s the longevity on them? I’m intending to use them again on my engine rebuild and right now I don’t have the budget for the CS or similar.
