so as some of you know from my other thread, https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/used-forged-bottom-end-help.7316/ ive recently purchased a motor for a very very good price.
spent sometime at my buddies shop today going over things i have, and things i need. we were able to determine what had happened to this motor. it looks like it spun a rod bearing.
the crank has been cleaned up and machined and is in great shape, the block has been 20 over bored and measures in spec. the cams are garbage which is fine since ill be going with corksports.
We noticed heavy discoloration on one rod, clearly the one that spun. these are k1 rods, do you guys think this is reusable or should i try and buy a single rod from k1? any help would be great, thanks!
