So I'm in the middle of building my Speed engine right now. The block hasn't been machined yet, but when I eventually get it machined, I want to get 88mm Manley rods and pistons for it. One of my questions is, should I wait to get the rods/pistons until after machining the block, or get them now?
Another thing that threw me off was the multiple options for pistons and rods.
There's this set of rods with ARP 625 bolts

And then there's this set with ARP 2000 bolts (I think)

(couldn't get to Manley's site, idk why)
I do plan to shoot for 500 crank hp at the absolute max once this motor is actually in a car, so does anyone have any suggestions as to what rods to pick? This is my first engine build, and I'm trying to learn.
