Who here is running one?

Was looking to go the AEM route but saw this option from Innovate Motorsports

Leaning towards the Innovate as it can all be set from the gauge itself, looks much cleaner IMO and it'll display up to 43psi (planning to run 30+ once built and the AEM gauge only displays up to 30 i believe, although a hobbs switch will allow more but makes the boost gauge redundant)

One of these is in my future too. Subbed. Gonna need ~20-25GPH of methanol to hit 500whp, and I'll need a failsafe to know if I go lean to trip my Guardian Angel and keep everything intact.
 
@Redline; these kinda defeat the purpose of a GA. Once the gauge detects lean AFRs it triggers either the BOV to dump boost or cuts the EWG back to spring pressure depending on how its setup

More than one way to skin a cat, I suppose. The benefit of the straight-to-GA approach, as I understand it, is that you don't need extra hardware. Simply connect the AFR "triggered" switch to the yellow wire on the GA, and it opens the BPV, dumping boost/killing power (and fuel need).
 
Yeah that'll def work too. In my case it just saves the need for buying the GA or an extra mac solenoid and just splice it into my 3port. Either way, its a must have for aux fuel setups!

They have different primary functions, yes. But the Guardian Angel has a feature through its yellow wire. Basically, it can be triggered to open the BPV entirely (thus venting a ton of boost/power) if that yellow wire is energized. Stratified designed it that way to be used in conjunction with a failsafe, like the AEM, or any other. When the AEM, for instance, says you're too lean, it'll send a signal via the connection to the GA's yellow wire. That'll open the BPV, vent boost/kill power, and keep things safe so that you don't zoom zoom boom. Then you'll have time to fix any issues that're at the root, and not have to get a new engine too, LOL.

I personally believe the GA route is better in the sense that opening the BPV entirely will vent a ton more boost (and much more quickly) than tapping into a 3-port. Heck, you can still have uncontrollable boost creep on a 3-port (ask me how I know), so it would seem incapable of venting and/or limiting boost level sufficiency in certain circumstances. The difference in flow/venting potential is easily seen by the size difference of a 3-port nipple vs. the plunger in the bottom of a BPV. We're talking easily 15-20x (or more) surface area on a BPV plunger.

But hey, I could be misunderstanding how a 3-port could be effectively used for the same purpose. Too bad Lex isn't in here to further elaborate...
 
From what Ive seen, splicing the failsafe into the 3 port will cut it back to spring pressure once the gauge detects lean. I do have an EWG with 14psi spring and it creeped to about 16psi at most (5858, Cpe Mani) so think it'll be fine with my setup.

How did this end up turning out for you ?
I am at the point where I am going to get a AEM failsafe but not sure how to set it up
Someone was talking about wiring it into the map sensor but not sure about that. Now hearing about this 3 port route I’m tempted to try. Which wire did you splice into ?
