    Steering Rack

Your mechanic is a fool, unless he meant when the tie rod boots are sealed. I've replaced the inners in our steering rack twice, and the grease always softens with use/mileage. For a front end clunk, check your.... Ball joints CV axles Front endlinks Front sway bar bushings Control arm...

    Steering Rack

It is normal. The ball socket on the inner tie rod has grease packed into it (as does the outer inside the boot). Sometimes you may notice a little leak out when servicing it.

    KW Coilover Rear Height Adjustment

+1 for the spring perch. The 3 allen bolts thay secure the plate need to aleays stay tight. If you are having issues adjusting the rear, hit the spring perch underneath the spring with some PB blaster, as the spring probably had crud on it. If that doesnt work, lift the rear and then adjust...

    street car gone road race

Didnt you have questionable oil pressure with this engine from the beginning? It could just be a bad oil pump, or broken pick up tube like you said.

    One sided intercooler on MS6?

That is the core. Email them, I am sure they have the specs to make the kit, even if they are not listed on their site. You can compare prices versus making the piping yourself. You would just need to factor in the crashbar also.

    One sided intercooler on MS6?

That is the Full Race intercooler kit for the MS6. That dude was on MSF, his name was Alpha. Unfortunately he is not on MSO. You should still be able to buy that intercooler kit from Full Race.

Rear Main Seal tool.... anyone have pics?

I am silly but not stupid. I'll post pics of the carnage next week. I wont know the full extent of the damage until I tear into it, but what I thought was a hydraulic problem, is turning out to be a clutch problem. I am preparing myself for any surprises, otherwise Penguin is going to light...

Rear Main Seal tool.... anyone have pics?

I've seen that pic on their site. This thing just keeps the seal from getting pinched? Or is it needed to fold the seal lip a certain way onto the crank? Every set of instructions I have found are pretty vague, which is why I am asking for help before I tear into the car. I am keeping...

Rear Main Seal tool.... anyone have pics?

Anyone have a pic of the Rear Main Seal tool? I ordered the seal from Edge, and they sent me the damn seal without the tool. Their website said it was supposed to come with the tool. Fuck. I am going to tackle a job this weekend, so no time to source one. If anyone has any pics of one or...

How-To Clutch Pedal Assembly / Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement

Just tackled this job today. I replaced the master cylinder only, because I could not get a pedal assembly. Apparently they are on "indefinite back order," for now. Thanks Covid... You do have to loosen the center console since the shoulder of the driver knee plate is wedged behind it. The...

Died while driving. Will not start now.

Nope, reading fail on my part. Sounds like you are headed in the right direction with the fuel issue though.

Died while driving. Will not start now.

I would love to see your car get fixed. However, if you decide to part out, I will give you TOP dollar for your 5th port cold pipe. Stupid question, have you checked the clutch pedal sensors?

Penguin Mobile: "Jesus Built my Hotrod"

Thanks for the offer, I really do appreciate it. My wife got me a bushing press for Xmas, so I am good. I have all front bushings, rear trailing bushing, and steering rack bushings to swap. Thanks, homeownership is proving to be an equal burden and blessing. I have Cobb poly mounts. OEM...

Penguin Mobile: "Jesus Built my Hotrod"

Hi everyone! Penguin is not dead, just been really busy. My last post was 8/2020, damn! Personal highlight is my wife and I bought our first house! It has a 2 car garage, lots of plans for it (including convertible paint booth). Progress has been slow because it was remodeled half assed...

    Not going into gear sometimes

S197 mustangs dont have a bleed nipple since the slave is inside the bellhousing. They actually have to vacuum the Dot3 out, and shoot fresh stuff in. This is all done from the reservoir. It's a pain, so there are aftermarket kits to add an aux bleed nipple.

    Not going into gear sometimes

Bleed your master cylinder and slave first. Dont go into expensive repairs like friction disc/pressure plate replacement yet, save that for last.
