Did you correctly set the CPS? - Make sure Cyl 1 is at TDC (if you did the timing right, the hole on the crank pulley should line up with the hole on the timing cover) - Count counter clockwise the 20th tooth from the blank space on the crank pulley - line up the sensor with the 20th tooth.

What is your power goal? Are you going to upgrade in the near future? 3" would suffice but 3.5" will leave room for upgrades in the future. Just remember that they will need different mafcal. Take this from someone who had 4 different intake setups lol.

If the chain is taut at TDC, then you should be good. Just as another measure, take off your VC and see if there's any chain marks on it. PS: This is the most detailed data I've seen someone took to measure their chain slack lol
