Hi All
Got a 2010 Velocity Red Speed 3 here, 2nd owner.
Car had 45 000 miles on it in 2017 when I purchased it , now at 71 000 miles ( Made time time for some fun rides)
Car already had a custom s/s turbo back race pipe and k&N drop in filter with a local tune on it.
Now I won't lie, the tune was a bit ridiculous as the throttle was just like a on/off switch which just resulted in spinning in 1st ,2nd and sometimes at the start of 3rd gear.
So I got a Obd Link MX device and Torque app to monitor and take some logs just to see how the tune was.
Well.. unfortunately I was seeing quit a lot? up to 4KR at about 4000rpm .
Then I tried without much success to stay out of boost for a while and over time I upgraded to COBB RMM
and Damond Motorsports PMM .
Then I noticed that my car was smoking at idle.. Got the Damond Motorsports Banjo Bolt.. that helped a bit.
It was only after getting the Cobb App that I was able to up the idle a bit and solve the smoking at idle problem.
Next up was the Freektune OTS+ tune . Wow suddenly my car had progressive throttle control and not just a bunch of boost all the time . I could drive like a normal person now.
And that brings us to the present.. currently busy with a Full Freektune and received my first revision from the Base map. Car feels good.
So hoping to learn a lot and enjoy this platform.
