    The hardest part for me was the nut thing on the egr pipe.. i never got it off, i actually removed the manifold with it connected.. also, finding the bolts on the hpfp rail.. those things are hidden.. once you know everything, and where it is, it makes it much easier

    quick side note.. how long does it take you to get the manifold off? when i did it.. i didn't use any hand tools, and im pretty green.. it took like the 2 (half days).. with a few bolts left over lol.. I bet the whole job can be done in under 3 hours.. how long did it take you?

    Welcome! First thing.. I would post a few engine pics so we can see how stock it is.. If your rebuilding, you should do the rods as they are a weak point. Pending on power goals.. If you do get a new engine or if you want to get it up and running, make sure you get a good tune on it.. e tunes...

    Just a heads up.... That retaining nut *can be very hard to remove.. it's a 22 in think.. Mine would not come off.. I would just leave it on. Do valve cleaning and don't sweat it too much

    @Enki thank you! I get what your saying..thankfully there are a bunch of easy bolt on options now with turbos. I'm in Florida and it's so hot, I feel like it car doesn't want to go lol.. Once I finish tuning, I'll go from there. Thanks again

    i guess what your saying, is that.. hot air expands, and once the small turbo produces heat, even if the psi raises.. it can only push so much air regardless. So, 26 psi.. or 29 psi.. its not really that much more air flowing because of air expanding due to temp.. is this correct?

    So, We all know that the k04 has its drawbacks.. Most serious people on the forums went big turbo.. With that said, its likely that the k04 can safely do ... 20 -21psi (please correct me if im wrong).. after that.. it becomes very inefficient and blows a ton of hot air that can ruin an engine...
