What did you do to your ride today

That looks pretty good to me, the lines are mostly straight and curve gradually and it looks like you secured the ones that might have a tendency to put strain on the cans. No offense, but those images remind me of why I don't use OCC's on my car...lol

John's BNR S3 daily driver performance build

Many things have happened since I last updated the thread. Too many to recount, and many under rushed circumstances, so very little documentation took place. -The front Bilsteins developed excessive free play between the shock and the shock body. They will need to be sent out for repair. -The...

2016 Epic Midwest Nator Meet (EMWNM)

Steve, it was great to meet you. Thanks for everything you do for the community and the generous donation of the VersaLine license.

What did you do to your ride today

They did everything for free and everything clears fully with the modded adjusters. Honestly the modifications they did would be simple enough to do at home. No modifications needed to the bils whatsoever, unlike with the Koni's where the top edge of the shock needs to be ground off for the GC...

What did you do to your ride today

All covered in my build thread. Which admittedly I need to update.

What did you do to your ride today

Bilsteins and Ground Control...why not both?

What did you do to your ride today

Which bearings are you referring to? There aren't any bearings for the front struts other than those internal to the struts themselves.

2016 Epic Midwest Nator Meet (EMWNM)

Go to this site and type in 49090 as the zip. There are some stations nearby. I am planning on using E myself. http://www.ethanolretailer.com/flex-fuel-station-finder

    Lean during WOT

I have no problem with Jason using a slightly wrong MAF cal and never got up his ass about it... Mistakes happen and no damage has been done here. Now if he's going to say it wasn't a mistake, then I have a problem. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

That is true. However OP has a Gen1. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

    Lean during WOT

Really? There's an 18% difference between the two calibrations I referenced above at the voltages of interest. You're suggesting that if I take a known good MAF cal on a Gen1 and just shift it 18% downward, I'm only going to see a 1-2% lambda observed difference? Man that's awesome to hear! That...

    Lean during WOT

The Cobb SF and other SRI's do indeed have a slightly larger diameter than the stock MAF housing. Here's the stock MAF cal at the voltages he's going lean at, as provided by Cobb. I have personally used this MAF cal on stock intakes and it works perfectly: Here's the Cobb SF MAF cal at the...

    Lean during WOT

Unfortunately, I'll be at midwest meet that weekend. You are welcome to borrow my tester though. As for your problem with going lean at WOT, I must tag @Jason@DizzyTuning here to alert him that you have a Cobb SF intake (perhaps this was not discussed) and he needs to use that MAF cal with your...

Hellz yeah. My car is prepped and ready for some track driving. Praying for no damages this year for everyone, especially my piece of shit.

    Spark Plug Data Base

Add the Gen2 OE plugs to the list - NGK laser iridium - SILTR6A7G. Pre-gapped at 0.028" (my newest set measured around 0.026-0.027). I use these instead of the IX's because of the doubled (60k mile) service life. I've never had issues with the gap widening over time with these either.

Help Me Decide on Stiffer Suspension, Plz?

I'm talking about the fronts. The ones Mazda sent me were wrong, although they were labeled with the correct part number. Probably just a simple mix-up. They still fit fine. I always reuse the rears. So far mine have held up fine.

Help Me Decide on Stiffer Suspension, Plz?

I ordered OEM ones and Mazda sent me the wrong ones (they're orange and a tad longer than the OE ones...probably for a Mazda3), but they fit, so I'm running them. Haha. I don't think you'll be too high in the rear. Even if they seem too high at first... Give them a month and I guarantee they'll...

Help Me Decide on Stiffer Suspension, Plz?

The front perches probably won't do anything for you. I hate to say it but I'm maxed out on my perches right now (in the "up") direction with my 400 lb/in springs and still sitting about 0.5" below stock ride height. Definitely not ideal for me. I think I'll probably buy 7" springs in the future...

Help Me Decide on Stiffer Suspension, Plz?

Come to think of it, I did notice the exact same thing with the fronts when they were off the vehicle and turned to full stiff. I had forgotten about that. All I can say is that they feel totally fine on full stiff, in fact they could probably use a touch more rebound. Static rebound times won't...

Help Me Decide on Stiffer Suspension, Plz?
