Talk to Farhan (@Farhan@DM) about his cheap/easy fix for forcing fans on. He setup a quick and easy fan controller that's run by a switch. The neat thing is that the normal fan controller still works with his setup too.

Unfortunately yeah, they were cleaned by InjectorRX (I think) before the engine went back in.

I'm going to disagree with ignoring that AP. My built engine was running great immediately after we cranked it, as did @JgamB's block. The one recent failure I saw of a new built engine likely would have been saved had the guy been keeping an eye on how rich his car was running. But alas...

Have you looked at your AFRs? Not that I get much better than 17mpg, but if you are dumping fire that might suggest running super rich.

Great update @alexwlwsn I was just wondering whether you had gotten in your keyed crank gear or not. Hopefully your install goes smoother than the one we are working in my garage. Engine went in just fine then we ran into a bunch of garbage (stripped axle, wrong intake/battery combo, etc.)...

Haven't forgotten about this. Went to drive the 6 today and got christmas lights all over the dash. I think one of my ECU cable connectors is borked :(

Completely understood, which is why the CL max load limit table was released by Cobb (and found in VT too). The theory was that the ECU will do CL-style corrections when in OL up to a certain load value. We've certainly seen this to be true in that cars hitting 2.5 load and seeing lean or rich...
