    500 HP minivan slayer

Lol I am not someone who necessarily needs instant gratification but sometimes I'm more on the lines of enjoy a bit of the journey, hate some of the journey, and then just glad I finally made it to the end of the journey to drive the dumb sucker hahaha

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

Actually man I have been laid off 6 months out of this year and barely made it by tbh lol I am 27 and an apprentice pipefitter and our union has sucked this year. No jobs hardly and everything is crazy slow. I would honestly just try to find a used engine with as low of miles as possible and...

    500 HP minivan slayer

I still have a pile of boxes in my garage from doing the new top mount turbo setup with all new custom fabbed fmic I did. People overlook not only the work but the amount of $$$ in those pics lol Looks like you're doing it right man and props for it! Keep us posted on the progress and things...

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

Props for the inline turbo oil feed filter. That's meticulous work there lol I definitely haven't seen anyone doing that but a good secondary protection from oil debris. Sounds like your turnaround time was fast for the engine. It took me about 12 weeks (3 months) to get my engine back from my...

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

If you thought it was fast before just wait lol A built motor if done right and all is a blast. Plus pushing boost down lower and running it harder is always more fun when you know it is built to handle it too!

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

Honestly depends what patience you have more than anything but it honestly isn't that bad. For me it personally just takes a while. ZIPLOCK BAGS lol Use them to label bolts and stuff off the motor and put any bolts back into the threads once said part is removed if it is on the frame or...

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

Sounds like excessive blow by aka bad ringlands. Did you regulate the pressure at 40ish psi during this test? I think @L337TurboZ said something about that being the correct psi to test at and not 120 lol

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

Yes sorry Enki and thanks for correcting me. They stroke together though right just one is on compression and one is not right?

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

@L337TurboZ is a professional and I am not so I'm sure removing the valve cover is a good idea but I didn't when I used this method. It gets you very close to tdc. Like Enki said as well, your #1 and 4 cylinders are at TDC at the same time and the #2 and #3 are tdc at the same time too so you...

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

It's easiest to have someone watch while you turn the engine by hand via the crank bolt. I mean.... I had my 5 year old tell me when it moved haha Then stick a long ratchet extension in there or whatever you got like that and crank it up until it stops moving up and you're TDC.

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

The way I was taught how to find it is to put a small piece of tissue paper or something like that over the spark plug hole and when you get it turned to the compression stroke it will blow the paper off or move it noticeably

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

The white ones are more lean but look about right in my opinion and yes the black sooty ones are running rich

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

Did you check what their gaps are? It indicates a rich condition most likely in those cylinders. If the gap is much bigger it could be having a less powerful spark or something. I would just see about the exhaust and let us know if it helps running an open dp.

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

Yeah don't blame you there but make sure to try the dp disconnected as that will immediately tell you if the muffler has stuff plugging it up.

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

Did you not report before replacing the DP that you pulled the o2 sensor and it ran way better? Did you drive it with the new dp on but unconnected?

    StreetSpeed’s DD 500+ MS6 Build

Well I might end up buying some anyway and just making them work. My main problem is knowing how to find which wire does which operation, such as turn signal wire, dim lights wire, bright lights wire, etc. Once I know which is which then I can probably wire it myself

I agree it seems it has to be a tune/electrical issue of sorts.

[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

So low to mid 15s are "safe" for just cruising? Good to know but I am too worried about screwing something up to do that haha
