    I Can Haz Evo???

Got the new oil pan finished yesterday. Had a friend weld it up, tested it with dye penetrate, double checked for leaks with water, and threw some powder on it. Pretty happy with how it came out. I didn't have time to cut out a pickup surround with trap doors but it still has all of the factory...

    I Can Haz Evo???

Went to Gingerman yesterday. The morning was pretty miserable, first session was raining and the next two were soaking, I was happy I brought multiple pairs of socks and shoes. Then we had lunch and after that things dried up surprisingly quick. Unfortunately I only remembered to bring one...

Trying to buy ms6 need advice.

His car is setup like that to combat weight transfer, you won't have to worry about that as much because you're roll racing. Weight transfer is a much bigger issue in launching from a stop than from a roll. At the end of the day when you're making large power, there's always going to be some...

Trying to buy ms6 need advice.

Going too low in the front will make torque steer worse. All three engine mounts, with a lower arm bar and good tires should be enough to get rid of most of the torque steer. If that's not good enough then start replacing bushings in the front suspension with poly or metal.

    I Can Haz Evo???

Finished up the wiring last night. Probably looks like a mess to most people still but it's sooo much better than it was before. Most of the mess is from the wiring for the Defi gauges which I'd still like to clean up a bit better.

Do you have it set to 2 stroke? If you have it set to 4 stroke it'll read wrong.

Oh man that was a while ago. I put connectors in my SS controllers so they could be removed from the car. There was three total, one harness went to the injectors, one went to the coils, and the last one had power, ground, 5V signal. IIRC I had wires going to every coil to get a tach signal but...

I got it weighed at the grainery down the street from my house and she weighs 2830 with the race exhaust. Close to my goal of 2799

You shouldn't have any issues with gaps like that. Everyone builds engines differently, I'm a follower of larger second ring gaps.

Out of curiosity, what did they set end gaps at?

The pistons were numbered because the pwc for each bore is specific to that piston. Did they file the rings too?

    I Can Haz Evo???

And the results are in! 10.5 pounds of wires and connectors, and there's now 22 less connectors in the car! I think if I'd started with a car that had all the wiring in it (doors, roof, etc) that it would be 13-14 lbs total. Hoping to get it on a scale this week to see where weight is at.

Chris is a pretty busy guy. When you step into a niche market you get flooded with work pretty quickly.

Glad to see it fits up nicely. Looking forward to the finished product. I sent him the file for the flat version as I'd figured if anyone else was going to make this bracket they'd cut it out with a plasma or laser like I did and then bend it. I just set the machine to etch the center of the...

    I Can Haz Evo???

The factory pan is mild steel sheetmetal. This is the final piece that will get welded onto the factory piece. I'll post more pics as progress is made and it'll be more clear then. It'll end up looking similar to this:

    I Can Haz Evo???

Got a bit more wiring done last weekend. All that's left is stuff underneath the dash. Think I'm close to about 10lbs out now with maybe another pound to go. Really amazes me how much smaller the main harness underneath the dash has become. Need to buy a new interior fuse box as the mounting...
