I've suggested this before, but a Zanardi NSX-style knob would be high on my personal list of symmetrical gearknobs. The Feel's knob looks pretty good too (minus the "Feel's" logo).

All of my maps from mid 2011 to the present have included a lean-burn cruise region. These maps have also included an aggressive top-end. So far, the car is still running great at 144k miles, some 90k after I started running my lean-burn maps.

Either that, or . . . I actually know how to drive a stick without destroying the clutch. I have also taught two of my girlfriends how to drive stick on this vehicle, starting at around 70k miles. They haven't managed to destroy the OEM clutch either.

That might be fine, but I have only one point of reference, and that's the OEM setup. Seeing as I haven't had my clutch go out yet, it's putting up with the power my car is putting down, and it's a gigantic PITA on the MS6, I can't see any reason to replace it with anything other than an OEM...

You'd get more chatter, more bite, and a lower lifespan. YMMV, of course, but I'm at 143k on the OEM clutch and have been putting down >300awtq for the last 70k miles, the last 30k of which have been with a BNR S3 hanging off the backside of the motor. IMNSHO (In my not-so humble opinion)...

@Maisonvi;, is there any chance of doing something like this knob (not necessarily in any particular color), but with the edges rounded off? That is, could you make something that looks a bit more like a teardrop knob, a la the S2000 knob (08U92-S2A-100) or the Zanardi Edition NSX knob?

Sorry to hear that! It may be that they're triaging the vehicles that have been in hot/humid climates first and moving on as more parts are produced. You could always try a different dealer to see if they say the same thing.

No problemo. Also, they appear to have done it all without unhooking the battery. On the bright side, nothing has blown up yet.

Car isn't going to the dealer today after all. The passenger-side recall is also open, so they're ordering parts and I'll take the car in next week to do both driver and passenger bags.

Appointment made for tomorrow. The dealer just forgot to call me once the parts came in.

It's likely, especially if you tend to only run the car for fairly short distances (say city driving for 10-15 min. at a time), that the evap canister isn't having enough time to purge properly. As a result, the evap system, and the purge valve in particular, doesn't have a chance to operate...
