    Throttle Hesitation

what year and how many miles are you at? how long do clutches usually last on these cars?

What did you do to your ride today

true. That would require me to get the spin on filter conversion kit as those magnets don't work with the gen one cartridge style. Something to consider.

What did you do to your ride today

@ToyCop definitely something to consider, ease vs protection. It would be great if dimple and them did a collaboration for the best of both worlds.

What did you do to your ride today

What easy drain valve did you use? any reason why you didn't also go with the dimple magnetic one here as well?

    Throttle Hesitation

Disclaimer: I am a newb so I'm probably wrong but my initial gut feeling is that with an E33 map (increased octane) and upgrades fuel pump delivery that fuel to the engine, the itv-20 plugs are the weak link here which is why most people run the one step colder plugs (ITV-22). I wish i could...

    Maisonvi Crank Pulley Tool

I think I read somewhere that the final 90 is ~ 175 - 200 ft lbs. The crank bolt may have been unique in that it yielded a lot before the final rotation. we didnt even get the full 90, more like 75. Like i mentioned earlier, we used a roughly 5ft breaker bar at full exertion which I estimate to...

    Maisonvi Crank Pulley Tool

The tool is very helpful for spinning the crank and getting top dead center lined us but should not be used to hold the pulley in place while doing the final 90 degree turn. That's what standing on brakes in 6th is for. The initial torque is enough to set the pulley in place Sent from my...

    Maisonvi Crank Pulley Tool

Lesson learned, stand on the breaks in 6th gear and have someone use a 5 foot breaker bar with a long extention to reach the bolt. We combined multiple extensions and the extensions even started to strip a little. Torque lube may have been helpful but I forgot to order it in time. On a positive...

    Maisonvi's never ending build

@Maisonvi is the PI spraying all the time or only when boost gets to a certain threshold like meth?

    Maisonvi's never ending build

Great looking build man! Do you think the port injection helps with keeping the intake valves clean similar to meth? And if you are still feeling slow after it all, you can always add a supercharger for a twin charge set up and really broaden the power band. Not sure how much power these l4...

Serviced my forge bypass valve, no idea if the previous owner ever did, car feels much better, throttle is more direct and installed the Damond banjo bolt to help with my smoking issue, not quite, turbo is shot, needs a news ones.... if anyone has a stock turbo laying around in good condition...

Intake valves after 60k - with OCC and EGR delete

In that case, If I were you, I would get a picture of the current state, replug the EGR, re-tune, and check back in 5-10k miles In that case, I don't see the harm but I'm a noob, I would get a picture of the current state of the intake valves, re-plug the EGR, re-tune, and check back in...

Intake valves after 60k - with OCC and EGR delete

I'd imagine that the valves would stay clean with the EGR intact with meth injection but I guessing it would decrease performance since hot exhaust gases are going back into the intake. Cooling the air down is the main point of injecting meth in the first place. I personally would rather take...
