Professional Engineer power: Easter Bunny glares at it, and it fixes itself. The cheap Chinese Leatherman is just for opening beers afterward.

The essential "save your ass bag" thread

I need to get on this but I do carry around 2 quarter of oil, a 3/4 jug of coolant, windshield washer fluid, a hockey puck (in case I have to let some roadside assistance monkey jack the car), and the Gorilla wrench thin wall socket kit ( ) ...oh and a wine and bottle opener. Also I keep water...

07-09 Mazdaspeed 3 trunk mount batteries

Hmm, the battery under the rear must have been an older version of the Miata... they put it inside on the ND. https://www.flyinmiata.com/V8/ND/index.php?UID=15 Here's how they do the NC: https://www.flyinmiata.com/V8/norm/index.php?UID=34 ...also two posts later they show their underhood jump...

07-09 Mazdaspeed 3 trunk mount batteries

OK I probably passed two days, but not by much. You can see that I have my JBR Tru-3.5 hung from the hole in the bracket above the normal location by several zip-ties strung together. This might not be perfect - I'm sure since it's not a rigid mounting that while the intake can't bounce...

Hello from Baltimore! Multiple speed owner

Welcome and sweet looking MSM. For a while I was thinking about sourcing a MSM and doing the big enchilada + suspension + 4-wheel BBK. Trouble is, I don't know if it will be eyeball-searingly fast enough and I already have way too much other unorganized crap going on.

07-09 Mazdaspeed 3 trunk mount batteries

I have the same setup and one thing I did was abandon the devil clamp that jbr provided (that was already scratching the shit out of the battery box per protocol) and just used two tie wraps to hang the intake from the bracket. I also added some armor to the wire harness since the CS...

Hi from Ottawa, Canada, eh! Looking for Purchase Advice

Yeah I never knew until a day ago the CAD version has power driver seat. My 2013 US model doesn't have power driver seat even. But the '13 has big nav, it's in the radio unit not one of the two small displays up by the windscreen.

Hi from Ottawa, Canada, eh! Looking for Purchase Advice

It's widely agreed that unicorn juice is the best choice for a gen1, but you said you were looking at a gen2 where Redline MTL is generally agreed to be the thing.

Hurricane Harvey, Irma, Jose, and whatever we get coming!

The people I do business with in Ormond Beach have declared their business closed Monday and today were in full batten-down-the-hatches mode. Good luck to everybody down there.

Hi from Ottawa, Canada, eh! Looking for Purchase Advice

Tech package adds blind spot monitoring, which I really like having in this car. Also the steery headlamps are super nice to have. And I find keyless vehicle so useful I'd put it way beyond "gimmicky". But of course it's a fine car with or without.

    Maisonvi's never ending build

A "velocity stack" won't get you anything per se beyond the increase in area. If you made the pipe bigger by the amount of the stack leading the air in, it would get you more than keeping the radius. You don't have a low pressure area at the back end of the pipe so it's not the same situation as...

    Another Michigan man

Other than the one time on 696, I think you were behind me downtown once too, probably on I-94 and I exited to M-10 Lodge freeway. At least it was someone with a white pu.
